"Elegant room with big windows and tasty breakfast"
Very nice place for a budget nightly rate thanks to Expedia. The property is kept well and is lush with foliage. Room was big, clean, and comfortable. Big windows and big washroom. The staff was nice, but slow to meet any requests. There was promise of being able to book tours, but, when we asked about them, we were told to wait. We never received any tour booking info--no matter how long we waited.

"Taman Suci Hotel 15 Jan 2013"
In the middle of Denpasar but not walking distance for tourist attractions. Room is very good for the price. Relatively no guess when I stayed on a weekday.

"Beautiful property just out of Ubud"
Situated in the jungle and accessible only by foot or bike, this is a beautiful more regional property about a 20 min walk from central Ubud. This suited us just fine and was a perfect balance to busy Seminyak.

"Nice resort but staff harasses you"
For every person that stays there are 10 staffers watching you. We felt uncomfortable by the way they treated us. It was an overly nice "we are watching you" way, which was strange since we are well dressed, respectable American businessmen. They don't seem to understand the American culture at all - we don't want to be followed and we don't want to sit in a restaurant with 4 staffers staring at us waiting for us to order something. What was particularly annoying is everywhere you go in the resort they ask you your room number - you probably get asked 12-15 times a day, no lie. Anyone else who stays here will understand exactly what I am saying. It's all just too much. Relax, you have a gated community and plenty of security people, you don't need to harass your guests and make them feel like they something isn't right.

"5 nights at the Grand Sunti"
We stayed five nights and had a very good time in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the driver was fantastic. We hired him for two days to take us to different sites around Ubud. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the pool just a step away from the room. The hotel grounds were kept super tidy. The only negative thing is the location, the hotel is a 15-20min walk from the town centre. But there are lots of restaurants nearby and the hotel offers a shuttle into town (one way only) twice a day. I didn't particularly like the breakfast buffet but others seemed to be ok with it. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others! Thanks Grand Sunti

"Beautiful Balinese essense!"
It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport to the hotel that is Balinese to a fault...rich and beautiful. We used the aircon wifi and swam in the pool joyfully.

"Quiet, laid back hotel with the best team of staff"
this is our second stay there. Before arriving, I have emailed to ask for a quieter room and they didn't disappoint. The bale was perched over a koi pond and it was just lovely. The overall stay, as expected, was extraordinary. They gave us recommendations on what/where to eat in Ubud, and suggestions to plan our day for the parade on the eve of Nyepi day (Silent day). Even on Nyepi day, they had activities planned! On Nyepi day however, I fell sick and needed medical care. Although it's not the first time hotel guests requires medical attention, it was the first time they had to go to the A&E on Nyepi day with a bacalang (local religious police on duty for Nyepi day). It was an experience both because of falling sick, and because of going to the local hospital, and because it was Nyepi day. They were caring and concerned. Even the next morning, they asked if I was feeling better!

"Nice hotel in stunning natural jungle surroundings"
Beautiful resort to stay and relax in. It's a bit out of town so you have to get a taxi appx $6 one way. Hotel provides shuttle but not very frequent. Every few hours . Breakfast was pretty average but satisfactory. Staff were nice but some did get very pushy trying to sell us expensive tours to the rice fields when you can go for free with a driver or taxi.

"Perfect honeymoon"
After a lot of thought we chose this for the first part of our honeymoon.. we were not disappointed. The local staff were just out of this world, nothing was too much trouble, afternoon tea, breakfast both served in the vila. Free hotel car to take you into Ubud at any time..... great base for seeing the north of the island, white water rafting and volcanos. A perfect place to start our honeymoon and somewhere we will not forget in a hurry. Also look at the extra meal available, we had a romantic meal down by the river, which will long live in the memory... THANK YOU to everyone that made our stay memorable.
