"Wonderful hotel"
This was our second stay at the Alila Manggis. This is a lovely hotel, beautiful grounds with a great outlook. Nice pool, terrific restaraunt, rooms are very nice, well equiped, all with ocean views (get a room on the second floor). The staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. My partner was sick during our stay and they bent over backwards to be helpful. We will definitely be back.

"Great for Families! ... Or those who like kids!"
Great overall package for families particularly for this with kids across a range of ages. We had 13yo, 9yo & 8 months and there was something to keep everyone occupied. U don't have to leave the resort if u don't want too. The Ashoka spa was brilliant for massages in comfortable surroundings at a good price which allowed mum or dad to have some quiet time while the kids did their thing. Proximity to waterbom, other restaurants, discovery mall, Legian st was great. Our room was the furthest room from the pool but wasn't an issue, was also quietest if bub needed to get away! Very comfortable stay.... Easy with a baby!

"Good service, Balinese style architecture."
I went with my 16 year old daughter to stay in Nusa Dua for 5 nights as a quick introduction to Bali. We had heard a lot about upset stomachs, dengue fever so were focused on trying to get through illness free. The hotel was very clean, food and service were high quality and bottled water is freely available at no charge. The resort is also fumigated twice a week so mosquitoes were minimal. So we had a relaxing, illness free stay. The only drawbacks were that there isn't much to do in Nusa Dua so you are pretty much stuck in the resort unless you want to get a taxis or hire drivers for the day. Eating and drinking in the resort is (like most 5 star hotels)' pretty expensive but does give you peace of mind. There are two main pools, one is a saltwater lagoon, which is surrounded by villas that have direct access. There are though only a handful of sun beds around this pool and no service is provided. The other freshwater chlorinated pool has a small frontage on to the beach but only has sun beds on the beach. Service there was available but it was a bit patchy. There were several cabanas but we often found other guests left their possessions on them, even when they weren't using them. All in all, a nice hotel, clean, mostly good friendly service but a bit isolated and a few design issues.

"Six days as a Princess"
Far too many vacation experiences have been memorable and very nice, but with these trips i was always a tourist visiting. AT the Samaya in Seminyak for the first time i felt like a princess, transformed not only by the scenery and facilities but by the service. This hotel is not large and sits on some prme beach real estate in an area of Seminyak filled with restaurants and shops. The villas are out of this world. They are very private and luxuriously furnished for comfort but not over the top. The private swimming pool and lounging area is very romantic and peaceful. The outdoor shower room is just one option of three for bathing in each villa (also an oversized jacuzzi and oversized indoor shower). The giant king bed is very comfortable. Outside the villa, the grounds are magnificent, with the greenery of the well kept lawn contrasting with the blue of the communal pool and ocean. Even though we had the villa, we still found ourselves drawn to the comfortable lounge chairs and cabanas by the ocean during the day or at night for a sunset cocktail. But the most important thing to know about the Samaya are the people. We were always greeted with a smile and by name. Many of our wishes were anticipated and our requests were always accomodated with politeness. These are not just staff workers, but professionals from the butler, to the waitress to the front office. Thank you to all for their kindess and excellent care.

"Very welcoming Very serving..."
It's literally one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I had. My wife and I reserved the all inclusive blue package and it deserves every penny. Three restaurants (one of them is operational 24 hours which we needed as we got jet-lagged and woke up at 3:30 am so hungry, we simply entered the restaurant and ordered - all included), a big pool and a peaceful beach plus free bicycle rent, an enjoyable karaoke room and fun activities. All this included. Beside the wonderful landscape of the hotel pool side area. You really feel the tropics mood in a great way.
