The resort and staff were excellent, however the rooms are very tired. Our room was so damp we had to ask tor a dehumidifier to try and reduce the dampness. Beautiful location but let down by the quality of the rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay surrounded in the middle of nature with monkeys on the premises. The breakfast was delicious, the staff always eager to help you and we were upgraded without a problem.

The hotel is in the middle of a jungle and beautiful nature. We loved our stay , our room was clean and no bugs . If you want to relax, catch up in reading, yoga then you are in the right place. The food was delicious!

Beautiful high end hotel
This is a beautiful hotel - you’re in the middle of nature and stunning views all around. The infinity pool is really relaxing - definitely take a dip. The restaurant has amazing food - I didn’t try the western cuisine but the Asian cuisine is delicious. I also appreciated that they had free shuttles into town 3 times a day.

Staff were AMAZING. they were so friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Will absolutely recommend this gem to anyone who wishes to visit Ubud. Room is very comfortable (we stayed at the TreeTop Villa) and well furnished. Love the nature vibes it encompasses.

Great location, poorly maintained and overpriced
The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by rice terraces and forest. Away from the main centre of Ubud, so lovely and quiet. I stayed in a room with a balcony - number 508. This hotel was significantly more expensive than everywhere else i stayed during my 3 week trip to Bali. Staff were great and food was also good. I enjoyed the complimentary yoga session. However everything here; the spa, transfers, food, drink was between 30% and 50% more expensive than other hotels, and the quality was not as high as my experience elsewhere. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but my room was really shabby. There were damp patches at the bottom of all the walls and large brown stains all over the mosquito nets. The coffee machine didn't work because the 'pods' were cheap non-branded versions and didn't fit. I was unable to charge any of my electronics as the plug sockets in the room were badly positioned in relation to the (fixed) furniture, so i was forced to continually take them to the reception to charge. There were only two small bottles of water in the room - particularly poor when you can't drink the tap water. I loved my stay at the Udaya - closer to Ubud, lovely rooms, pool and spa - and far better value for money!

Alila Ubud - a quiet resort with activities.
We were delighted to be upgraded to a villa. On our first day, a group of monkeys visited our balcony. It was a huge Villa, with an open air bath tub and a separate room for shower n toilet. The Villa was spacious and cool. We enjoyed our stay at the villa.

Alicia Ubud is a jewel in the jungle with complimentary shuttles 3 times a day into downtown Ubud. Perfect for the traveler wanting an escape in a serene and tropical high end resort. The infinity pool is the best in Bali and the property sits majestically in the middle of the jungle with surrounding rice fields and beautiful vistas. The staff know you by name and the service is attentive and always served with the traditional Bali smile and grace.

Our deluxe room was overall very damp, including duvets etc. we put on the dehumidifier for a whole week but hardly anything dried. The usual amenities were missing from the bathroom, like toothbrushes, shower caps. The restaurant and Cabana Bar were good. English yea was generally very weak.

Alila Ubud - top experience with minor errors
The staff were all very friendly, just perhaps slightly forgetful at times e.g. bedroom - replacing water bottles, missing hand towels; dining - missing cutlery, and bringing hot coffee instead of iced coffee. Nothing major, and we suppose it’s understandable given they have endured pandemic for 2 years without tourists. The food was delicious (we kept saying sedap sedap!) The spa, is incredible. Genuinely fantastic experience that we truly recommend. The Rice Field walk and local village visit are also very enjoyable.

We stayed for two nights celebrate my wifes birthday. From the booking, to the checkout everything was flawless. The entire team exceeded five star expectations. Special thanks to the professionalism with front desk team and especially Yuni who arranged a beautiful private birthday suprise dinner in the jungle. Chef Wayan whos food was flawless and packed with flavour as well as the FOH service team who delivered attentive friendly service at all meal periods! Uncomfortable beds, rooms are two level so we got woken up every time the people above us dropped something/closed the door/dragged their chair/used the bathroom. Internet didn’t work so we couldn’t even contact family and friends on Christmas.

Totally relaxing too short of an escape sadly. Resort is completely in the forest. We had the Bale Benong dinner experience on our stay. Highly recommend this experience. Our personal assistant on the night although only young was extremely knowledgeable on his heritage and proud and service was to detail.

Loved the location, peace and tranquility staff are amazing and cannot assist enough. Only 2 criticism’s is that it’s feeling a little dated and in need of renovation plus the cleaning in room is not thoroughly cleaned. ie the finger marks on the balcony window remained the whole week

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
It looked even better than photos! BEST hotel in ubud!!! Definitely recommend! Just beware of the monkeys!
