Beautiful building! Only issue was credit card charges. They dont release your incidential hold on your credit card, so you have to wait out your credit card companies 30 day pending wait period.

We are happy you enjoyed your stay! Our property management system is set up to release any holds for incidentals on check out. However we have no control on when each financial institution releases it on their end. Most clear within 3-10 business days if you did not incur any charges.

Great, historic hotel. Furnishings in room a little dated, but very comfortable. Outstanding staff, although a bit understaffed in the cafe/bar which led to slow service. The Sat night horse-drawn tour of town was very fun.

Beautiful property with a ton of heritage character and friendly staff! Our server Mark at Palm Court restaurant was awesome and food was really tasty as well. Will be back again!

Lovely historic hotel located in the heart of Main St. Lots of good shops, restaurants and places to sample the local spirits nearby. Nice hotel shop. Great hospitality!

Over priced! Booked a room that slept 4 and they charged $20 extra per person, so ended up spending another $60 on top of the already overpriced room! Shower head was so old it had four small holes that allowed water to come through. Definitely not staying here again, not worth the money.

This historic hotel is right in the middle of downtown. We had an excellent meal at the restaurant and the room was very clean. Everything worked beautifully. It was a quick overnight trip, but lovely.

Great old property. Everything was clean and modern--no problems with water, heat, or noise. Very nice bar for a drink and dinner there was excellent.

The hotel itself is historic and gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-proportioned. on the downside, the beds are too soft (we were told all rooms have the same bed), and i found the dining area too dark, not inviting, although elegant.

Our stay at the Geiser Grand Hotel was really good. Clean and quiet and historic! The staff was all cordial and friendly. We Will be staying there again when we visit Eastern Oregon and Baker City. The only downside I would mention is the parking. It’s mainly street parking which is not the most convenient, but safe.

The "back in time tour" was done very well and great information shared. Dining in the palm room was fabulous food, service and the music to die for. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the room so big!! We stayed in an ADA room which worked out so well.

The hotel itself is historic and beautiful, yet we feel that it could be so much more. We were so excited to enjoy this historic hotel and the quaint town of Baker City. On our first night, we excitedly went to the hotel bar to enjoy a drink before dinner, and each of our drinks were literally the worst drinks we have ever had. We ended up paying, but leaving the drinks on the table full. The locals definitely don't have good things to say about the owner of the hotel, and it shows in its patronage. Overall, we feel that the hotel, as it is, leaves much to be desired.

So sorry to learn that you were disapointed with your drinks Had you said a word about it, on site managers would have gladly addressed this on the spot, either remaking drinks or comping them. Unclear what, besides the cocktails, was left to be desired? The elderly hotel owners support this management team in every way, and we're very sorry that we didnt have the opportunity to fix whatever went wrong here.

Alan at the front desk was very rude during our stay. We showed up on time for our check in, and no one was there to check us in. After I left and came back, I had to walk around and find someone. Alan was the person I found. He acted like I wasn’t meant to be there. Justin was the bell person at the time and he was amazing. He treated us very well. I'm not sure where this place is able to price their stay so highly, it's pretty run down and not nearly as nice as a regular hotel stay. You can also hear everyone in their rooms as the walls were very thin. You would have a better time just getting a regular hotel.

Make sure your clear on room expectations .
I think the staff was friendly and it’s a beautiful hotel. However, I was working in event and I asked for early check-in so I could get all situated because of my work started at four and check in doesn’t start till four. I told him my fear was that because I had to start work at four that by the time I was able to check and I was going to get the last crappy room which is exactly what happened I got the handicap room all the way at the corner of the building I didn’t even have a bathtub which I was looking forward to taking a bath. I had a walk-in shower and the showerhead was rusty and the shower knob was coming out of the wall , the beds were super comfortable and it’s absolutely gorgeous room but I just was expecting a room with a tub . As I was checking out of the hotel, the housekeeper was cleaning some of the rooms I did walk into some of the other rooms on the other side of the building where I wanted to be placed and I’m gonna request room number 302 next time I think that’s the experience I was expecting.

We ask guest there preference on what bathroom style they prefer but never guarantee that the guest gets that preference due to client demand. In the future if you demand a non-ADA room you will be presented with more suitable options. On the day that you arrived we had no options for upgrade or downgrade as we were booked to capacity & had more on a waitlist to get into rooms if they opened up. We apologize that you were disappointed in your room & services.

Beautiful hotel in Baker City, Oregon
This place is a real treat! A beautiful, historic hotel. We had a wonderful suite with very high ceilings, comfy furnture and a view of the Wallowa and Blue mountains. Bed was super comfy. The restaurant was really fantastic - great food, very creative, and wonderful service. We hd dinner there and room service breakfast, both fantastic. The valet parking was a bit slow, but its a small town, small hotel, and a good oppirtunity to slow down myself and enjoy the old photographs and wonderful architecture.

I booked a very expensive suite online for a special occasion and caught Covid so I had to change my reservation. The manager wouldn’t even talk to me. Lost $700 due to the fine print in the booking. No effort whatsoever to help me with my situation. Manager wouldn’t even speak with me.

We're very sorry to learn that you contracted Covid and were unable to stay with us as you'd planned. Your reservation was never cancelled at all, it was held for you both nights. We have no record of your calling us to cancel or discuss any cancel until well past your departure date. In any event, the Hotel is prohibited from cancelling Expedia reservations, that can only be done by Expedia or by you/the guest. We cannot speak to how clearly Expedia states the cancel policy; hopefully it is not only in fine print. But then again, we have no control or influence in the manner in which they present policies. If Expedia failed to make clear the cancel policy that you were agreed to, then you may well have a claim against them that you could pursue with your credit card company.
