“One of The Best Hotels in Bahrain”
The room is very clean but the mini bar was empty, they should fill it up as all other hotels do.The staff are very freindly and helpful and the general atmosphere was so great.Wrangler is the best place to go for a drink and eat and it is the place to spend the night with so many people and great music. We look forwards staying again at the same hotel.
“great hotel, friendly staff”
For the price I paid with expedia this is an excellent hotel, the room was clean and the staff where friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit of a treck from the airport, but they will arrange a transfer for you which is very handy. All in all an excellent hotel!
“Really enjoyed it”
it was a wonderful stay i really enjoyed the room. it was very quit and had a wireless network.
“Really enjoyed ourselves”
This was a very comfortable hotel with all the amenities that we we're looking for, except for any eating facilities. Which wasn't that difficult to find. Some places were a short walk away and others we just took a taxis.
“Great Hotel”
This was my first time staying at this hotel. Wonderful hotel with a great staff.
“Good hotel - would go back”
The hotel was very central to a lot of things. Room was of a high standard and clean, and having access to the internet is always a benefit. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
“Would go back again if I had to go to Bahrain”
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good service, good food, open air swimming pool well maintained. The room was as good as we expected, TV worked well, and a clean bathroom with a hot shower which worked well. All in all, a good place to stay for a few days.
“Large Rooms, Superb Service”
The staff at this hotel couldn't do enough for me. The rooms were learge and had a pleasant tile (at entrance), carpet and wood decor. There is high speed wireless access in all rooms except the rooms on the higher floors seem to have problems receiving the signal. But you can use the business center or use your laptop in the lobby. The advantage of the higher floors is that they are not as noisy--there is a nightclub open until 2 AM on the first floor. I was on the third and the noise was bearable though. The three drawbacks to this hotel are: (1) the location is out of the way. The taxi drivers in Bahrain refuse to use their meters and charge forigners extortionate rates, so factor this into the cost of staying here as there are not many restauarants nearby. (2) No Heating in rooms. It was unseasonably cold in Jan. and I had to wear my anorak in my room and dive under the bed covers to boot it was so cold (8C). Most of the staff also had anoraks while working. Granted this was unuausual, but for a new hotel it seems strange there is no heating. (3) Food in the restaurants is very average. There is a very smoky and beery Mexican (I had the food delivered to my room to avoid the smell)and okay room service. That said, I would stay here agin if passing through Bahrain as long as it wasn't in winter. This hotel is a partner with the hotel in Hawar island and can arrange day trips and longer stays there.
“Fine hotel”
It was good for a short visit. Food was ok. The rooms are very big which is nice.
“Good hotel but...”
Good big room, everything clean and fresh. Just one problem - after we'd checked in, the receptionist phoned the room and stated baldly that our reservation was only for 2 persons and she would be applying a charge for the third (my daughter). This was simply untrue as you will see if you check the reservation details. I told the receptionist I would come down to reception. I took the reservation printout with me, which clearly showed that payment had been made for three persons. I asked the receptionist to confirm verbally that no extra person charge would be made, which she did. (No further charge was made, I am glad to say.) At that point, an unpleasant-looking young man, probably the duty manager, spoke quietly to the receptionist, whereupon she told me that she would require all our passports for photocopying. Had she told me that before, it would have saved me going up and down again. I fetched the passports and the young man disappeared into the back office with them. He returned ten seconds later. There had been no time for him to photocopy anything. The receptionist returned the passports to me and the matter was at an end. This kind of nonsense after a long journey is unnecessary and unwelcome. Of course the hotel is entitled to ask for passports, but that is not the point. Formalities like that can be sorted out at initial check in without the need for guests running up and down.

Today, its residences and businesses cater to the affluent, expats, and the US military, which maintains a naval base in Juffair.
