“Convenient Location (For college students)”
This hotel was very laid back and comfortable but not fancy and very nice for the money. If is off the main highway I-35 and hard to find but we liked it. Very convinient to walk to Mall and close by restaurants and fast food places to eat. The staff was nice and helpful. It is conviniently located next to Bus Stop so if you going to downtown Austin or UT Austin, you can take the Capitol Metro bus (ask front desk for schedule and routes).
“Impressive!”
Excellent hotel in this price!
“would stay again!”
it was a great place to stay, for our purpose it had an awesome location. the people were really helpful, and the rooms were nice.
“Great Hotel”
The Hotel was good, We had a microwave and a fridge, the room was very big, and even had a balcony, the bed was comfotable, and the hotel was very quiet, I plan on staying there again when I go back to Austin, and the people were very friendly..
“A great deal that is not well publicized.”
This Travelodge is a great little hotel. We are putting our son through University of Texas and the rates there are great for weekend visits. The place is clean and the management are very nice people. If things get slow there is a mall right across the parking lot. We plan on making this our "home base" when we visit our son for the next four years.
“Enjoyable convenient place to crash”
I enjoyed the stay at the Travelodge, if only because I had read all the prior reviews and had very very low expectations. As far as cleanliness, the room was in perfect shape and even though the downstairs smelled a tad of smoke as I walked in, in no way did this affect our room or our stay. The hotel is super convenient to UT and Downtown ( a cab ride was only 14 ish dollars) and up north as well. The people at the front desk were pleasant, and the entire stay was exactly what I wanted, a place to crash at night after a few very very busy weekends in Austin!
“Good value”
This hotel was very laid back and comfortable but not fancy. But very nice for the money. It is off the main highway a bit and may be a little harder to find for those who don't know the area. But it is only a block off the highway so it wasn't bad. The staff was very nice and helpful. Used another service for a different hotel stay and it was just awful. Expedia is the best.
“satisfied man”
It was very nice more than i expected. hotel was so clean and big. And fornt was so polite. and especially breakfast was good. if i came back texas again, i would stay there again.
“Nice location for a hotel”
The Highland Mall is literally in the backyard of the hotel. All we had to do is walk across the parking lot and we were there. Since its not too far from 6th St we took a cab and the fare was reasonable.
“great hotel for the cheap traveler”
I travel on the cheap side.not a bad place for the money. The front desk staff were great, as were the maids..
