Great stay!

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: Coffee, hot breakfast, staff, general area, parking, safety.
Cons: Have an ice machine in both buildings
Location: Lots of restaurants and shopping. Right off Mopac, a convenient freeway to get downtown where there's more to do (20-minute to downtown Austin).
The area was quiet and felt safe. It was also easy to get to (right off of Mopac aka Loop 1) and has plenty of places to eat and shop (The Domain and The Arboretum). Parking was no problem even though it was the weekend. Staff was super friendly. They called to check if we needed room service and when we did, they were prompt to answering the phone when we called for it. I stayed in the 2-bedroom suite and it was plenty of room for me and my friends for our 2-night stay. The room and common areas (lobby, gym, hallways, etc.) were clean and organized. Hot breakfast is always great! Coffee was available 24/7. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I would definitely come back!

no good

The man at the front desk was so rude we had to leave. We called hotels.com and changed our reservation for the night.

Nice place for a large family

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. The hotel itself is quite clean and modern, and the rooms are quite spacious. The kitchenette was nice, having a microwave, fridge, stove, and sink with garbage disposer. There was only one bathroom, which was somewhat inconvenient because we had a child sleeping on the sofa bed and we had to be careful not to wake him if anyone needed to use the bathroom. I was disappointed with the condition of the furniture in the living area. The chair and sofa were very shabby looking which was a stark contrast to everything else in the suite. Also, my teenagers found an old chicken nugget left in the bedroom they stayed in. The hotel is in a nice area that felt quite safe. It's near the interstate, but not noisy. It was close to a lot of shops and restaurants.

Excellent Hotel

Posted 17-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
I was on a business trip for 3 weeks. The Hotel staff was unlike any I've experienced before. They were the definition of customer service. There was an issue with my reservation and the hotel manager assured me everything would be ok and he'd take care of it. Sure enough the next day he informed me that everything was taken care of and everything is all set. I didn't have to do a thing. The staff additionally was very courteous and would greet you every time you arrived. Additionally they staff was very helpful in helping me find places around Austin as well as extremely friendly when it came to asking how your day was while getting to know you. Some write off this customer service tactic but I feel it an intricate part of the experience and makes you feel more at ease. The cleaning staff also were very friendly and I would always come home to a freshly made bed and clean room.

Great service and friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and our room had more features than we were able to use. Thanks!

Right on N Capital of Texas

Excellent room with two bedrooms and a queen size in each plus dida bed. Breakfast was great. They had a hot and cold area. The only bad thing is that the seating area is small. The bad side of the room is that you could hear the footsteps of the people above so get the top floor to not get woken up at 7:00am.

Poor management

Do yourself a favor and skip this one. Service is virtually nil. They must get a volume discount on Fabreze, as they use it by the barrel. Don't bother calling the front desk for anything.

Always good

This is the fourth or fifth time we have stayed at this property. It is always a pleasant experience. The rooms are always clean and well-appointed. It is convenient to the things in Austin we want to see or use. Our stay is always in conjunction with a family reunion; our trip is broken up with a night here. We find it convenient to hit the road from here and get on our way. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are well-maintained.
