“Perfect for a large family”

Wonderful stay. The suite was spacious and comfortable. We have a large family (2 adults, 4 kids) and it is often difficult to find a nice, affordable hotel for our crew. This was perfect, like renting an apartment for the weekend for the price of a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great amenities and family-friendly atmosphere. Plan to stay here each time we visit Austin.

“Highly recommended, especially for long-term stays”

The hotel suite was surprisingly spacious, and it was set up like a fully furnished apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped, since there was a sink, electric stovetop/oven, toaster, microwave, full-size refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, coffeemaker with complimentary coffee, as well as 4 mugs & 4 glasses. They even provided a sponge & dish soap. There was also a small area to do office work, and I believe it was equipped with an Aeron chair. The only problem I noticed was that the bathroom door frame was cracked near the base and may need to be repainted/repaired. Aside from that, everything was clean and well-kept. The hotel staff were friendly, and checking in/out was a breeze. The complimentary continental breakfast was good; I enjoyed a simple danish, a banana, some Yoplait yogurt, Raisin Bran w/milk, and coffee. I may have missed some items, since I was hung over at the time. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you plan on an extended stay. The kitchen makes it very worthwhile, and if you wanted to cook, all you would need are pots/pans, utensils, cutlery, and possibly dishes. If you happen to forget something, you can easily drive over to Wal-mart open 24/7 which is right next to the hotel complex. With such accommodations, you could definitely entertain guests; however, there is a strict noise policy in place to prevent disturbing neighbors & other guests.

“Great place to stay!”

We had booked this hotel at a great deal. We saw some bad reviews on a website. We saw the hotel's website and thought it looked good and chose to ignore the reviews and Im glad we did. We had a ton of room, a full kitchen, a living room area, the maid service came to clean everyday while we were out (with no items missing when we came back, which is awesome since we left jewelry out, etc.) and the staff at the front desk was very nice. The free breakfast was delicious. We did not get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but they looked very nice and I wish we had more time to take advantage of them. Coming from a family that owns a business and being very aware of other businesses and their services, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I dont know who was writing negative reviews but I feel they are untrue. I would stay there again anytime I go back to Austin, which is often. Thank you Hotel Allendale! :)

“Very pleased”

Although we were expecting a downtown location because of the advertisment I read , we were pleased with the location when we realized there was excellent ,reasonably priced bus transportation direct to the Capitol area. We enjoyed having a suite, and the maintenance man came to our assistance several times(changing light bulbs, telling us about the bus service etc.)The hotel is newly renovated,close to a shopping mall and restaurants and has a Catholic Church within walking distance. We enjoyed the Breakfast Buffet and 5:30 Snack times, which are included in the room rate. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable,
