I don't know how unsafe it was but the vibe wasn't great. I had room 120 which faces the street and is exceptionally noisy. The other rooms may be better, I don't know. The internet did not work for us at all.

Motel is old and beat. The area is ok to find food and gas. The motel itself has seen it's days. They are trying to give it better look in pictures. First the room door needs to be forced open and closed, it maybe just my room. The rust in tub drain and toilet very ugly. Toilet dances with your movement. A lot of damage on doors and walls and ugly patches. Staff were nice. The breakfast is really a joke and maybe just to fool people by saying a breakfast included. The breakfast is only waffle, sausage, and few slices of bread. Nothing else beside artificial juice and bad coffee. Oh maybe some tea bags....

The staff was very helpful and the motel was clean. It is a neighborhood where there are quite a few homeless people and it did not feel comfortable even going out to the car at night. The lights were good though and none of the cars were bothered overnight. On Expedia we mentioned that we had a cat. When we got to the motel there was a substantial additional charge. It would have been useful to know that before hand.

This motel appears dishonest as they manipulated property images, using photos from a local event venue to create a misleading impression. We had to find alternative accommodation, and despite the situation, they didn't provide a refund. We suggest Expedia implement quality checks to prevent vendors from engaging in false advertising. The room was spacious and very clean! The staff in the office was super friendly and kind. Breakfast was small but there are hot items and I was really happy with the waffles! When I got there at 2am to check in, it took a full hour to fully check in and get my key card. They also charged us about $200 in pet fees even though on the website it shows the hotel is pet friendly. Never going to an econo lodge again.

So so at the Econo
The room was clean but pretty tired - no surprise at the price. But street noise was high, and the blanket was super thin - basically a second sheet. I will pay a bit more next time for a more comfortable stay.

Its definitely dated. Pretty clean and comfortable bed tho. But like any new american owned hotel, they cheap out on everything. The heater didnt work and the shower didnt work. Bare minimum towels and no soap or anything

The pictures and description are very deceptive. I had to leave early and lose out on money because this place was so gross. The interactions I had with employees was minimal and they were nice enough. But this place was absolutely disgusting inside the room. Cigarette burns on everything, stains on everything, light switches so crusted up with dirt, couch was filthy light in bathroom was rusted out, door frame in bathroom was falling off, door in bathroom was molded from the bottom up. Definitely learned a hard lesson booking sight unseen here.

Enjoyed Our Stay
We were attending a game ot Q2 stadium and chose this hotel because of it’s proximity. A great choice. There is a bus that takes you there directly from to hotel. There’s an abundance of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Sunny, the manager, is a great guy. He treats everyone like a friend. We will definitely be staying there for games in the future.

We came for the Texas longhorn game, try to get something pretty close to the stadium stadium, and we did. The timing was great and wasn't going to get there. But the property was a little sketchy. The room smelled like baby oil and cleaning supplies. My cousin that flew from Washington. Their room AC did not work properly. And it got hot and cold all night, they were uncomfortable.

Pleasant stay in North Austin
Pretty nice spot. The rooms were surprisingly nice inside. Plenty of great restaurants and activities nearby. Parking lot entrance a tad tricky being near the major intersection. Altogether a very respectable stay.
