“Wonderful Bed and Breakfast!!”

The Austin Inn was amazing! They had everything ready as I had requested down to the flowers and breakfast in bed. (I had requested the In-Suite Romance Package) I will use this bed and breakfast again anytime I am in Austin. Perfectly located near Guadalupe street and 6th Street and Lamar. Had a blast!

“Most pleasant”

Our stay was most pleasant, and the staff were a big part of that. The staff epitomized friendliness and helpfulness. We slept so well in the room too. Definitely we will go back.

“A quaint and quiet B&B”

This is a lovely place and very nicely appointed. It is quaint and lovely with period furnishings. It is quiet and provides coffee and snacks at night. There was no one attending the hotel, although I understand this is not a usual occurence. This made check-in a little difficult. I did get immediate help by phone, found my key and was able to get into the room. Breakfast is continental and self-serve. It would have been nice to have a hot breakfast, but one is not offered. Even so, I found the stay excellent and the surroundings quite lovely. The B&B is located centrally and has a nice patio area, as well as sitting rooms. Internet is provided, though, because of a thunder storm, I had some trouble connecting at night, but no difficulty when the storm subsided.

“Not at all impressed”

The Pearl was highly rated, but we found it to be lacking. The room was without air conditioning the first night, and it was a condition the staff was aware of. We tried manipulating the thermostat,but to no avail. The 'breakfast' end of the Bed and Breakfast experience was sadly lacking, and more along the lines of the packaged breakfast available at a Hampton Inn, except without the hot entree...We won't be back.
