The only thing we didn’t like was there was no microwave in the room. But the inn is set up more like a BnB. Plus my husband and I are so laid back it really isn’t a deal breaker for us at all. 10 out of 10 would come back. Next time we’ll do the deluxe room!

Due to some renovations going on, the pool area was a little less than. However, we really appreciated the pool hours and cleanliness of the pool itself. The room heater was very noisy. It’s a charming older property, and I will look forward to see how the renovations in the pool area turn out. Beds very comfortable.

The pool area is awful and the bathroom doors slide instead of shutting so there’s open space for the person using the restroom. It was terrible and we hated it.

Louise, We apologize your found the pool area "awful". We are going through extensive renovations on the area. Also, I believe when you were there, we did have a very large group in. The bathroom doors should close all the way and we have addressed that. Please notify me the next time you make a reservation, and as the owner I will personally make sure you have a perfect stay on your next visit.

I felt that the pet fee of $80 was excessive. Pet rooms were acceptable. The hallway within the pet quarters was dreary There was a notice in the bathroom that there were no toiletries, but they were available at no charge at the desk. I had forgotten my deodorant because I left in a hurry (an unexpected death in the family). I went to the desk and told that they had none. I froze in the room at night. There was not an extra blanket in the room. The strange coffeemaker had no instructions, (so I had no coffee). The alarm clock was unusual and had no instructions to operate. The lack of information sheets rendered these items useless.

Cozy old large inn, comfortable beds. Dated TV, heater not working well. Nice swimming pool on premises, however the pool area/bathrooms quite run-down. No microwaves anywhere on premises.

Lovely stay
Hotel was very nice, clean, cute. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only negatives are no elevator, “European” breakfast, and the pool was ‘fine’ but not great. Went the week after Christmas and felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. Quaint and well decorated.

Nice hotel that’s super pet friendly. They even gave our little guy a treat and bandana upon arrival. Nice area and friendly staff. Would stay again if in the area.

It has been 45 years since we stayed at the Aurora Inn. Since then we have moved 6 times including a stint in Alberta, Canada. We found the Aurora Inn as charming as it was 45 years ago. It is not a chain hotel, and that is one of the things we like about it. Aurora village is a bit off the beaten track and is close enough to the city of Cleveland that you can easily get to just about any place in town, especially if it is on the east side, and then back out from the city and suburbs to a much quieter place. Northeastern Ohio has many lovely villages and quaint small towns. After all, this area was settled by people from Connecticut, and at one time this area was actually part of Connecticut. This area is a small piece of New England right here in Ohio, and the Aurora in is right on the edge if it.

A hidden gem
First time ever staying at the Aurora Inn. Once inside the Inn I was greeted by Erica at the Customer Service check-in desk. Very nice pleasant friendly young lady Erica the whole staff was really nice and friendly. We enjoyed the bar didn’t get a chance to check out the pool or breakfast Was nice and quiet my husband I would definitely return when we need some quiet time 🙂

This 100 year old hotel has a total vibe
I am so glad I found this gem. It’s beautifully decorated and the pool was clean. The service was very friendly and helpful…. But the bed was so comfortable- that’s the highlight for me. The breakfast is cold, sans oatmeal, but the atmosphere is elegant and you don’t need to leave hungry. 10/10 would stay here again. Note: as of 11/23 they are still recoverying from a tornado so the pool is usable but there looks like some construction is going on. Sauna works too.

Best friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable! Enjoyed heated pool and sauna and access to a 24x7 fitness near by; enjoyed free breakfast every day; fresh Starbucks coffee with unlimited supply in the room; great to walk out in fall weather ! Definitely plan to stay there again!

Appreciate the feedback. During this transition period in weather, it is the first time the heaters are being used and apprecite you bringing it to our attention. As a boutique hotel built in 1927, our rooms sizes do vary and are not as spacious as modern hotels. We try to make up in quality what we don't have in quantity. On a future visit, please ask for a larger room and let us know if something is not working properly during your visit- we will take care of it immediately as is our standard.

We found that most guests only staying one or 2 nights do not need a full and complete changeout- so we do give a housekeeping request card at check-in to give you the option. If you were not informed of that, I apologize and will address that with our team.
