Suited us well because the beach was a 5 min walk away and we could walk along it up to Takapuna. Bus service into Auckland CBD and to Devonport was close by. The room itself was well designed and well appointed and very clean. We had a view of the sea and Rangitoto and a door onto a balcony. Will stay there again when we go to Auckland.

Comfortable and clean hotel. No lifts to upper levels which made carrying luggage awkward. Also quite a bit of road noise. Staff OK but not great. Would stay again

Should you require a lift for easy access then please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.Unfortunately, the road noise is out of our control. Friendly staff, clean and tidy. Less than 5min to the beach or option of a pool which my family enjoyed. Great location. The walls aren't paper thin how other reviews stated, as I had my 3 older sons in the next room who were noisy which I hardly could hear. So pretty pleased 😁. Bathroom and Toilet was satisfactory and clean. Highly recommended for price and will be booking again. Thank you Carnmore Hotel x

Very happy tourists
Reception staff, Shane especially, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Facilities ideal, room appeared fairly newly refurbished, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a kitchenette that had everthing we needed. Short walk to the lovely beach then a good stretch of the legs to the wonderful beach cafe at tgecopposite end, but well worth it. Good location, we had a room away from the main road and it was very quiet. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was nice, room was fine for what we needed and had most things we required. Had a couple of noisy guests yelling in the middle of the night as they were locked out. Phone in the room didn’t work. Unable to link my own sky app to the tv in our room to watch sport.

Nice tidy unit. Unfortunately we had the unit closest to the front door to the building, so got a fair amount of door banging. Other than that a great place to stay

My room was easily accessible, nice a clean. The shower was huge and would benefit with a bigger shower head. I like the verandah to access the otherside where my parents stayed. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great my only concern was the shower head to powerful. I would recommend your Hotel to anyone great location and very handy to Takapuna beach.
