Unwelcoming other guests on the property being issued milk and other food by security guards. On checkin we were given the key to our room. However the room had not been cleaned, unmade bed, used towels all over room, toilet not flushed, alcohol cans in kitchen, not a good welcoming for me & my 13 year old son. We took a refund & left

Property is good, standard condition. However everything is just a basic condition, so things like the TV had no service and the radio had no ariel, third world problems really, but things you'd expect when staying away.

Good location and very spacious unit. However overdue for upgrade. Chipped mug, peeling toilet seat, hole in the wall and scratched worn couch. It was fine for a family get together.

Great value
Our room wasn't ready on arrival but we were heading out so it worked out fine. The reception guy was very apologetic and gave us a room upgrade to one bedroom. Location very handy to hospital and Queen st. It was excellent value for central Auckland.

Better value than the high-price hotels in the CBD and better quality than some of the other serviced apartments in the area. Parking's limited in the area so paying extra for a spot in the secure underground carpark is recommended. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms I've stayed in on multiple occasions have been very clean and well-maintained.

The sheets were clean and the beds looked well made but I found food in my bed, The kitchen bench and floor were sticky. The condition of the bathroom was very run down with repair work half done.

Enjoyable time
Because arrived so early and apartments not maned till 8am I had to carry my bags around for a few hours and then head back to the apartment so that was a little annoying but once headed back could leaving our suitcase there while we waited till checkin at 2pm - because we waited so long from first arrival at 6.30am the girl upgraded us to 2 level room which was really nice and the room was really good and made our nights stay much more enjoyable / she was very friendly as was the next days staff when we checked out and helped store our bags so we could first collect our hire car

The fellow at reception was caring & helpful however the room & bathroom could use a refurbishment - very dilapidated - lights not working, exhaust fan in bathroom (toilet) not working, cupboards old and chipped, bed not comfy, ducted air was dusty which caused sinus sniffle. Service was great and the receptionist was lovely! The cleanliness of the room however wasn’t great, walls were quite dirty and windows didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a long time. The hot water in the shower wasn’t great and would switch from hot to cold every couple of seconds not really maintaining a temperature.

Pretty good stay
Had a good stay. Our room looked nothing like the pictures (every one is different). It was pretty bare and looked outdated, but it was comfortable and clean. It had a washer and dryer, which was my main motivation for staying there, which worked well. One thing I didn’t realize is that it’s basically in the middle of Auckland University’s campus, so there seemed to be quite a few college kids in and around the area (not bad - just unexpected).

Very basic motel room. The room wasn't serviced two of the days we were there - Sunday or Monday (public holiday). The room hadn't been cleaned properly before we checked in and we found dirty tissues behind the couch (which we had to move to access the power point). We had a twin share room, however both beds were missing a middle bed leg and so were wobbly and uncomfortable. We had to prop the bed up on pillows, as there was noone at reception to ask about it until the day we checked out. Crockery was bare minimum, and there was no plug in the sink to wash dishes. The dryer only sort of worked - we had to put our clothes on three times to get them dry properly. The people at reception were friendly enough when they were there (check in and check out). The lady did not speak very good English however and it took several goes for her to understand that we wanted a taxi booked to take us to the airport. Wifi was good and connected well.

Rooms need some TLC and updating, but overall were comfortable. Cupboard doors were swollen with moisture and wardrobe doors were stuck. Steep, hilly walks around the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
