“Good city location”
A good, quiet, clean and comfortable hotel, a few minutes walk from the heart of the city. Well equipped with friendly staff.

“Great value for money”
I stayed here with two teenaged girls. The hotel was at the lower end of the cost scale and excellent value for money. It is next to a park with trees and a play area, and we were easily able to walk into the CBD. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful, especially when we arrived at 9 am to leave our luggage. There was a hitch in that I'd booked for three people through Expedia and the hotel telephoned and tried to charge me for the extra person. However when they saw the Expedia booking they accepted it. It was a double room with a trundler bed. There was plenty of space, the room was clean and well organised. It exceeded our expectations. I would certainly stay here again.
“Good family option for CBD”
We stayed had at this hotel before when it was the Duxton - and while it has lost a bit of the luxurious feel it used to have, it's still good value for a family of four in a twin Queen bed room. Small but enjoyable pool + hot pool with a great view of the park. Walking distance to all the CBD attractions, plenty of eating options at the top of Queen Street. Staff helpful and friendly - we had a very enjoyable stay.
“Great stay in Auckland”
Great hotel, very well located yet not on the too busy queen street , close enough and close to Ponsoby. Disregard the bad reviews that scared me at first - I had two different rooms as I decided to stay another day - both perfect and the staff was very professional . Yes get a room at the back - huge difference . on a nice note, they gave me a pass to use the Ymca gym across the road - as I found their gym too small. I woudl stay there again if in Auckland.
“View over the park”
We had a good experience, with just one gliche when I went to shower and housekeeping hadn't replaced the shampoo or soaps. I phoned reception and they had some sent up straight away. Great location and nice view over the park, good size room and everything one needs really. Enjoyed a soak in the spa and dip in the pool in the morning - was lovely.

Good hotel. If youre wanting to park up and your ride is low be prepared to manoveur ur car to get to the underground parking. If your cars at a normal height its fine :) It is about a 20 minute walk from the Viaduct if youre planning of visiting that vicinity.
“comfortable stay”
Great location and staff very helpful but expect to pay extra for parking as there is no free parking in the street and the hotel charges $20 per day.

Good fully equipt studio - comfortable bed and good water pressure for shower. Good sized bath in room too.
“Amora Hotel”
no air conditioning apart from a noisy portable unit, tinned fruit at breakfast tingled on your tongue suggesting it was almost out of date.
