“Paradise on earth.”
We had a fantastic honeymoon at the Palazzo Ferraioli in Atrani. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic view and everything one needs for a great and relaxing vacation. Restaurants close by, beach pretty much right outside the windown, and a larger more touristy city (Amalfi) about 10 minute walk away. Couldn't speak more highly of this place.
“Will stay here again.”
The hotel is very nice, clean and modern. I had a balcony with a side view of the mountains and sea, so nice to wake up to that view. Amalfi is only a 5 mins walk away. Atrani is quieter than tourist filled noisy Amalfi. The small town has a handful of restaurants and beach.
“Wonderful Place”
When we return to the Amalfi coast- we will, without a doubt, stay here again. Perfect location. Atrani (where this hotel is located) is a mere ten minute walk from Amalfi (the main attraction city), but serene and relaxing. The room was immaculate and the design was unique and fun. Every room is designed to represent a cinema icon! There was some neat blue lighting that can be turned on along with the regular lights or on their own. Central AC was super futuristic and functional - saved our sweaty hides! There are lots of stairs to climb (that's what the Amalfi coast is famous for...that and their tasty lemons), and it was tough at first - but we got whipped into shape and by the third day were flying up those stairs. We came back home tan, toned and relaxed!
“Beautiful hotel, can't wait to go back!”
Excellent hotel in terms of professionalism and friendliness of staff and quality of rooms and service. Unfortunately there was a lot of stairs to get to the hotel....however, once you get to the hotel, the views are spectacular. Staff are very friendly and will assist with carrying luggage if requested.
“Amalfi Heaven”
Spot on to what anyone would want in a mid to upper end boutique hotel. In our two weeks in Italy, this was the best.
“Modern hotel in Atrani”
When you arrive in Atrani one of the staff meets you at the bottom of some steps and brings your luggage up through a labyrinth of alleyways to the hotel reception. The hotel has very recently been renovated and apparently once belonged to the Ferraioli family who were land owners. We stayed in a double deluxe room which was really designed well with modern Italian decor and was really big, had a jacuzzi at window level so you could see the ocean, a queen bed, chaise lounge, day bed, huge flat screen telly(mainly Italian channels) and a big bathroom with nice towells toiletries and a good deluge shower.the staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help when they can.one of the best things about this hotel is that atrani is so quiet compared to Amalfi and only about 8 mins walk away.the rooms were really well soundproofed and we could not hear any church bells or mopeds.
“A Great Place to Stay In Atrani”
This is a very nice hotel in a beautiful little town. The room was clean and spacious. We had a very nice view overlooking the town and beach. The bathroom had one of the nicest showers we've found in Italy - good sized and great water pressure. The breakfast spread was ample, with lots of good variety of pastries, cereals, yoghurts, and meats. The cappuccini were delicious. There was an additional charge for eggs and omelettes, but we weren't interested in eggs or omelettes, and there were plenty of other things, so it didn't matter to us. Atrani is very convenient to Amalfi - a ten or fifteen minute walk - which is the hub for buses around the Amalfi Coast. You can take the main road through the tunnel or take the high road up and down some steps for a safer, more scenic route - no doubt, Escher etched his lithograph from the vantage point of the high road to Amalfi. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given a recommendation for a very good restaurant, where we dined two of the three nights we were there.
“Fantastic Hotel”
This hotel was fantastic. My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 nights and it was everything and more. Atrani is away from the hussle and bustle of Amalfi though only a 5-10 min walks into Amalfi. We had sea views from our room which was breathtaking. The hotel is nearly brand new and the decor is funky and has been very carefully decorated. There is a lot of detail in the decor/hotel which show a lot of work has gone in to creating the right atmosphere. Great value for money. The staffs were very helpful and someone was always available to help and answer our questions when we had them. Long walk up to the hotel from the beach but there was someone to carry our bags up and down at the start and end of our trip. Buses and boats go regularly from Amalfi so everything/everywhere is accessible. There are also a few nice restaurants nearby. The only extra cost and inconvenience was our car. We drove from Naples and when we arrived at the hotel we had nowhere to park and were advised to pay 25 Euro a day to have the car parked by the hotel. We had not budgeted for this so was unexpected.
“A Rose among the Thorns”
If you're looking to be away from the packed beaches of Amalfi or the tourist traps of Ravello, give Pallazo Ferraoioli a try. Amalfi is just a 5 minute walk away and you can even get to Positano with the ferry. The hotel itself is very central with awesome views of the sea coupled with great service to boot. I'd recommend it every time !
“Nice rooms and decor, not sure about staff...”
Pros: Rooms and decor, really nice, if you like something different. Atrani was a good little getaway from the touristy Amalfi area, and the place was well maintained. The glowing seats at night were a very cute touch. Cons: BEWARE: The "Sea" view is only partial; the windows actually don't face the water directly, but sort of sideways, but if you like looking at mountains or buildings, it's an interesting composition. But we were highly disappointed by that. Staff was nice, but generally not very competent in that they smile but don't solve problems. Ie: Air conditioner didn't get turned on even though I requested it, and they said OK; it never went on. Also, Manager was almost never present which ended up being a huge problem when we had a hotel billing issue that he didnt' resolve. what a dissapointing taste left to such a pretty place.
