Met my needs at a more reasonable pricePosted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: Quiet, free parking, hot shower, comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi.
Cons: The floor was sticky-- perhaps they should change their cleaning products.
Location: Within walking distance (about 25 minutes brisk walk) of the Georgia World Conference Center. Near Georgia State.
I had a meeting at the Georgia World Conference Center and since the other hotels in the area were almost twice the price of Motel 6, I thought I'd give Motel 6 a try. It worked out fine! Free parking was a bonus since parking in that area is expensive as well. I walked from the motel to the Center and back each day with no problems. The motel was quiet, it had a good hot shower, clean sheets-- all I needed. The check-in staff was very helpful and polite. I'd stay here again in a similar situation. It certainly is not a luxury place but met my needs in this situation.

Good no-frills motelPosted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: Rates are low and the location is good. Right off I-85, free parking and two left turns to get back to I-85 when you leave.
Cons: No carpeting on the floors and they need to wet mop frequently. If not, bring slippers.
Location: Limited complimentary coffee but a Dunkin' Donuts is a block away. Five blocks to Coca-Cola, CNN, Georgia Aquarium and College Hall of Fame.
Spent a week in Atlanta and very little time lounging around the hotel. They haven't replaced their towels in years. Road noise from local traffic and I-85.

It was very convenient to the downtown area. Parking was also safe for the area. Very clean and nice to visit again

Clean room, close to everythingPosted 4-Oct-2014
Pros: Everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance. Ben at the front desk was super friendly and informative.
Cons: The mattresses, amount (and/or size) of the towels and supply tissues
Location: Within walking distance of Georgia World Congress, Aquarium, College Football Hall of Fame and Coca Cola World. A ton of great restaurants as well.
The hotel while small and lacking in curb appeal was clean and safe. Both parking and WiFi were free which is next to impossible in downtown Atlanta. The room could have used some new matresses as they almost sank to the floor. I went to blow my nose and realized that while there is a slot in the bathroom, there were no tissues supplied as in most other hotels. The bath towels seemed a bit on the small side so I went to the front desk for additional and the man at the desk seemed to give me a bit of attitude as to why I wanted additional towels. I understand this is a budget friendly place but with a little more effort, it could really be top notch. I was attending a conference and with all of the activities, pretty much just needed a clean place to sleep. The Motel 6 was able to provide that. In addition, our room was on the back side of the hotel which is right next to I-85. With the exception of sirens, we really didn't hear the traffic.

Incredible servicePosted 4-Oct-2014
Pros: Staff, location, price
Cons: For the price - nothing.
Location: Two blocks from downtown (midtown), six blocks from Fox Theatre, 4 blocks from MARTA
This is a great low-cost option to the pricey downtown high-rises. The staff is by far the most courteous and professional I have ever encountered. They make you feel like you are at a four star instead of a two star. Short walk to all downtown activities and restaurants.

Decent hotel with rude staffPosted 2-Oct-2014
Hotel staff need to alot polite in talking to their guests. One think that would stop me from going back there.

Excellent location in ATL and the hotel staff was excellent; however, the hotel is pretty old and needs renovation.

Pros: Friendly staff!
Cons: A bit of road noise, but the roads can't be moved.
Location: Within one mile of Philips Arena and Olympic Park.
Friendly staff, central location. The walk at night was a little worrisome, but we got back safely.

Perfect LocationPosted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: Free parking, and location was perfect
Cons: Up to date bedding.
Located downtown, free parking with room stay. Price was reasonable, room was clean but bed wasn't comfortable. No fridge or microwave in room, thin walls, and bedding was out of date.
