“Great Place to Stay”
This hotel was very clean, beautifully decorated and super close to the Atlanta airport. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed a great meal in the sports bar. The only thing I would change is the parking deck---the spaces are tight and there is only one way in and out w/o any signs to tell you this. Other than this, we had a wonderful experience---I'll definitely stay there again and just use valet parking!
“Expensive Cab Fare to take us to the right hotel”
The Marriott Hotels in Atlanta need to address the similarity of their Airport hotels names so travellers do not end up at the wrong drop-off.
“Very Impressed!”
This was a beautiful hotel! Everyone was very helpful and it was very clean and quiet in the room...The amenities were great, as was the lighting. There were great places to eat and even though my stay was short it was very much enjoyed. The SkyTrain to ATL made it very easy to get too and the Convention Center was just steps away. Very easy for even a novice traveler to get around. BEAUTIFUL!

“Friendliest hotel employees ever!!!”
The hotel had the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The room was extremely comfortable and very spacious. The restaurant was excellent and the Starbucks Coffee was great. Even though the surrounding neighborhood left a lot to be desired, I would still go back to this hotel. The MARTA Rail station was right there which makes it very convenient to travel wherever you wanted to go. Even though the airport was near and planes flew over the hotel, I never heard them flying over at night. I would definately stay at this hotel again.
“Great for an overnight stay”
Arrived in the afternoon after a 0 hours flight from europe. Very convenient location if you plan to stay for one night and then continue the trip.
“Convenience with contemporary luxury”
If you are coming to Atlanta on business, there is no more convenient hotel than the Marriott Gateway. Outside the terminal a light rail takes you one stop to the foot of the hotel. The hotel is NEW and everything is in great shape. The rooms are comfortable, fresh, and contemporary in style. The bed is super comfy. The only negative for me were the dining options. A Champion restaurant and a huge lobby bar with bar menu. During several stays I have yet to eat at the hotel. Perhaps it's no different than most other hotels, but the way the restaurant is separated away it doesn't give the same feeling that most hotels have of a nice dining establishment integrated into the hotel. Instead it's a huge lobby bar that dominates. The location is not great for tourists, but fantastic for business people who need to get in and out. I left my room 50 minutes before my flight and made it to my gate in 20 minutes. (Don't try that unless you know what the wait time for security is.)
“Excellant Hotel”
The Marriott Gateway is an excellant hotel and I highly recommend staying there. It is also the first stop on the Airtran railway only about two minutes from the airport which made it very convenient. Very wheelchair friendly from the airport all the way to the hotel. All the hotel staff were outstanding, courteous and professional. The restaurant has good upscale food, although the service was a little slower than I like, but still acceptable. If you take a cab, be aware that there are two Marriott hotels at the airport and they will likely take you to the wrong one. You should avoid the other Marriott, because they will not assist you in getting to the Gateway. I will definitely stay at the Marriott Gateway every chance I get.
