Waiting

Posted 30-Sep-2014
My daughter and I after our long drive showed up to wait. I waited till well after check in to show up. It still took us almost 45 minutes just to check in. The lobby was dirty, noticably. Since I was standing in the lobby for a while I had time to notice the buildup of crust in the corners and the overall filth. We checked in and went to the room and the staff brought me the coffee maker for the room, only to tell me that I would have to go buy my own coffee at the store on the corner. The next morning I went down to the lobby for breakfast only to find my choices were blueberry or chocolate muffins. That was it !! Won't be back !!

I received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to personally respond. The situation you described regarding the length of time it took for you to get checked in and the cleanliness issues of the lobby is truly regrettable. We are very sorry for your experience. I discussed your comments with the team, and we will work to speed up the process of getting guests into their rooms. As well, I have met with my housekeeping staff to review the cleanliness standards of our common areas to ensure your experience is not repeated. As well, I do regret to read that our grab-and-go breakfast and our lack of coffee in the rooms did not meet your expectations. Your feedback on these issues will be useful to us as we continually work to improve our hotel. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. We do hope you will choose to stay with us again so we can have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last two years to attend Anime Weekend Atlanta since it's so close to the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Convention Center, and both stays have been great! The only problem I had this year was that the air conditioner didn't work in my room, but it never got too warm or too cold so it was no big deal. I plan on staying here again next year.

Don't waste a dime

This hotel was just gross. It smelled awful, the beds had hair in them (lots of hair) and the shower curtain was COVERED in mold. Not to mention 2 towels in the bathroom for 4 people both of which felt like they came from the goodwill. Chiquita at the front desk tried her best but nothing could make up for ALL the bad that this hotel was. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Worst Hotel Ever

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Cons: It appears to me that there is a management problem
I must say that this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The website fails to mention that because this is an Extended stay hotel, There is no maid service unless you are there for more than a week. I had to take the towels, and linen to the front desk to exchange daily, and the never had clean ones available at the time. I always had to return at a later time. I had to empty my trash daily, and the trash room was extremely dirty, and smelly. The carpet on the floors in the hallways looked as if they had never been vacuumed, and was smelly. The carpet behind the front desk where the staff worked daily was even extremely dirty. The elevators were dirty, and the outside trash was overflowing, and on the ground. The side door near the stairs had a problem with the latch, and if you didn't pull on the door to close it tightly, it would not lock, so anyone could walk in. I traveled form N.C. and once I saw the conditions there, I tried to find another hotel nearby, but they were all booked up. I will never stay in, nor recommend an Extended Stay Hotel to anyone

Definitely not the worst place I've ever stayed. Not the best either. Served its purpose.

Second Time Around

Posted 12-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
This was my second stay at this hotel and I must say I was very disappointed. The front desk clerk this visit was completely the opposite of the young lady I had the pleasure of meeting the first time. She was rude, unfriendly, and very unprofessional I was never greeted or even acknowledged by her. I was placed in a room next to the stairs and when I asked if I could move she rudely stated she did not have anymore rooms. I understood and went to the room I was assigned trying to make the best of this situation only to find a dirty towel hanging on the shower. I attempted to call the front desk and realized the phone had no buttons. I unplugged the phone and took it downstairs to let the desk clerk know there was a dirty towel in my room and gave her the phone. Her rude behavior continued. She moved me to another room but at this point I was ready to just leave. Although the rooms there are not the greatest my return visit was due to the great service I received my first visit. Unfortunely I will not stay at this hotel again.

Dirtiest hotel I've stayed in

Posted 20-Jun-2014
Pros: The price was decent for a short stay.
Cons: The overall cleanliness of the room, hall way, and stair well was very bad.
I was there with my wife and baby for two nights. Both my wife and I had stayed in extended stay hotels before for months. The room we had was small, about the size of a regular hotel room. So the kitchen really reduced the living space. The carpet had many dark spots, and the cabinets were sticky in some places. The bathroom mirror had smudges on it when we got there and gray patches at the bottom that looked like mold or at least dirt. The stairwell smell like wet dog and the carpet there was terrible with large dark spots. The AC unit also constantly flashed a service needed symbol. We dealt with it for two night, but I can't imagine staying there for an actual long duration. At the least they need to steam clean the carpets and do a serious cleaning of the surfaces.

Staff was fabulous. I felt sorry for them b/c their key machine was broken and they had to walk up to our room to let us in each time. Our room was comfortable but floor was dirty and bathroom had a musty smell. Mildew around the tub. Was inexpensive so that was a plus. Breakfast was just a granola bar or packaged muffin or fruit. Not much to write home about but sufficed for our need.
