I'd expect more from Hilton

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Upon check-in I was greeted by April and Dwayne who were very kind. However, I did not see any others at the desk for the rest of my visit. We called to get our car as instructed and no one ever answered, and when they did the car wasn't even requested. Speaking of cars, Daryl is THE rudest valet person EVER. Good sir, it is not my fault that you hate your job, I too hate mine at times, but I still treat people with respect; customer service is not his forte. The room was small, I paid for double beds, usually that means double queen beds...not full. I sell plumbing for a living and I was shocked to find the speakman shower head was coming out of a tub spout that was rigged to act as a shower arm. My co-workers enjoyed laughing at the picture I took. House cleaning came one time (we were there 3 nights). They left new towels, but didn't take the old ones. Overall, for the price I would recommend the hotel, it wasn't the worse experience and the stay wasn't unbearable. I just think some customer service classes should be given to Daryl. He was intolerable.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Given the mixed reviews we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The staff (from the valet and front desk to the shuttle driver) were exceptionally courteous and helpful. Although I do not care for the traffic congestion of the area, the hotel was a great choice for where we needed to be. The complimentary shuttle service (3 mile radius) was a definite plus.

Great location in Buckhead

Posted 10-Nov-2014
My stay was nice and cozy. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and it was located close to fine dining. My only con would be the cost of parking which was $12 over night self-parking or $20 valet.

Good Hotel But Horrible Group Travel Experience

Posted 15-Oct-2014
I booked an 8 room room-block with this hotel for a business trip through Expedia last month. Prior to the trip, the arrival dates of two guests changed so I called Expedia to edit the reservation. Expedia called the hotel, made the changes and then I also called the hotel to confirm the change. All was well, so I thought. Once at the hotel, the hotel staff claimed that they never received a call or fax regarding the reservation check-in change and charged us for the 3 nights that we did not stay there. Upon speaking to Expedia and having substantial documentation that we spoke to a specific staff member at the hotel, had documentation of the fax, and confirmation numbers noting the change, the staff insisted I was lying and refused to refund me for the charge. Thankfully, Expedia credited me the charge but the staff at this hotel was completely unwilling to work with me, called me a liar, and made my stay uncomfortable. I plan travel for a large company and I will NEVER book our employees at this hotel ever again. The hotel itself is nice, clean and in a good location but these sour experience ruined it all for me.

Convenient location tucked away from the busyness

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Great location. Very clean.
Cons: My wife said that there was some loud noises late at night from other guests that were out late. Nothing the staff could have done.
Location: Perfect location. Right in the heart of Peachtree. Steakhouses, breakfast joints, some franchises (chick fil a, starbucks)
Wife and I went to visit family for the weekend. Didn't check in until 11pm which was no problem (still ate my cookie). They always had a shuttle ready that could take us 3 miles from the hotel (this distance is all you really need with their location). Was recommended an amazing breakfast joint (flying biscuit) that was a few blocks away. They let us leave our bags in a locked closet when we went because we had already checked out.

Pros: The staff were very kind and helpful
Cons: It would've been nice to have maid service ONCE during our 4 day stay. We ran out of kleenex and toilet paper. Had to ask for extra towels, etc.
Location: Location was fantastic. Walking distance to marta.
The hotel was excellent aside from the fact that during a 3 night stay our room was NEVER cleaned. That was disturbing. The staff were friendly and helpful but the maid service had MUCH room for improvement.

Cookies will get you just so far....

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: Location. Cookies. That's all folks....
Cons: Customer service. Teamsmanship. If you are on staff and walk past a dirty dish in the hall twice. You should be fired.
Location: It's Buckhead. In Atlanta. Pick your poison.
Well, it was not the stay I had hoped for. Other than one valet and Robert the bellman, there was no customer recognition throughout the 3 day stay. My encounters with the front desk were on a daily bases as I was hoping to extend my booking by 1 night. Turns out, they were sold out, but do I have to ask the same desk person the same question 3 days running? On a separate stay in Atlanta, at The W across the street, every employee encountered knew my name by the 2nd encounter. That's customer service. Now to the room. King Suite. 2nd floor. End of hall. Room 244. Nice view of 1 exceptionally large dumptster, and 2 regular sized. These dumpsters were emptied at 4:00 am on both Saturday & Monday. Whole process time. 1.5 hours. Not so nice. Bonus on Monday at 3:00am was the grease pumper truck that had his engine revved for about an hour before the dumpster guys got there. No sleep to be had here. Room should be turned into office space. There was another interesting noise in the bathroom. Crickets. Living in the bathroom vent shaft. Restful I guess. Till the dumpster dance. Housekeeping. Not so much. No coffee in room 1st morning. Had to call down. None 2nd morning. And no cups. But the grounds from day 1 were still there. Random dish or cup or trash, left in hall way for hours as I watched employees walk by on my way down the looong. hall. But, the cookies were good. Just don't expect much more.

Hotel was noisy along with surrounding outside area at night. Sounded like the people were in our room.. The hot water took forever to get hot.
