A very nice hotel for the rate charged.

Pros: Helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The location. The "bang for the buck" The most plush feeling carpet I have ever stepped on...
Cons: The doors down the hallway slam hard which will awaken you. Hopefully the other guests will be courteous and let them close easily during your stay.
Location: The location is in the heart of Buckhead and all that is Buckhead is nearby.
A last minute weekend getaway to Atlanta. My friend and I arrived late where we were greeted with a most helpful staff complete from the valet to the bellman. You will receive a couple of warm and tasty cookies upon check-in. Nice! We unpacked, changed into something comfortable and ordered a meal through room service. The food was tasty and pleasing and the server was most professional when bringing in the food. Very comfortable bed with clean, bright and fresh smelling bedding. Bathroom was clean and nicely supplied and decorated. The room was nice and dark with the curtains pulled making the room conducive to a sleep late morning, although we neglected to place the privacy notice out and were awakened at 9AM by the cleaning staff who entered the room as we also neglected to move the safety lock on the door. Lucky they didn't see more than they wanted to. No fussing about getting out of the room a few minutes late and more cookies at check out with cheerful and welcoming front desk personnel. I noticed a piece of plastic bag underneath my car as the valet drove up and he actually crawled underneath my car to retrieve and remove it. Talk about going over the top. Thanks a bunch to all at this hotel.

Should have Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton

Posted 10-Mar-2014
Pros: Room was newly renovated
Cons: Customer Service!!!!
Location: It's Buckhead so everything you want to do is close by.
First and foremost I did not know that I would not be able to receive my Hilton Honors points since I booked through Expedia..Must have missed that somewhere. But this hotel is far from what I expect from a Hilton property. First the Double Tree is know for it welcome cookies..Well they did not have any when we arrived at 4PM because they had sold them all to participants in a model search that was using one of the conference rooms, I guess we the guest come after the non-guest. To make things even more trying on our stay, you can hear mouse pee on cotton three doors down because there is no sound proofing in this place at all. Late in the night this place took on the character of a motel with drunks literally running up and down the hall all night. Then the morning of checkout, house cleaning knocks on the door at 8AM to clean the room,Yes 8AM! When I spoke to the ridiculously rude Beyonce` wanna be Receptionist at the front desk about it, she had the audacity to be condescending by stating "you know we have the little do not disturb thingee's that you have to put on your door. I explained that I have traveled around the world 5 times and never have I had to tell house keeping not to knock on my door at anytime before the 11AM check out time. Yes, they got me Once but never again at this hotel. I am a property owner with Hilton I am leveling my complaint with them as well. If you stay there I wish you all the best but you have been warned.

Nice place, but don't expect any free extras.

Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Stop charging for internet access.
Location: Several restaurants and a large fancy shopping mall are walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel was nice enough, and we didn't have any complaints about the service or quality. On the other hand, we booked the unpublished rate from expedia, and were initially happy with the price. On the other hand, parking and breakfast added up to be almost the same price as the hotel stay, and internet is not free. Keep this in mind if you decide to stay here.

Nicest Doubletree I've stayed in

Posted 13-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
This DoubleTree is exceptionally nice. The rooms are spacious and have extra nice amenities that I wasn't expecting. It felt like a 5 Star hotel with very friends staff and luxurious décor.
