“Comfortable for the Price”

The Castleberry was portrayed as a much fancier hotel on the website than it actually is. It is in somewhat of a rough neighbourhood but is close to downtown. The room was clean but very small. Given the excellent price, we probably should have expected the modest accommodations.

“Wish it was clean”

The Castleberry Inn.... well I have a mixed review. Here it goes: Staff: Extremely friendly, courteous and hospitable. Location: I was attending a trade show at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta. I chose to walk from the hotel which only took about five minutes. The neighborhood was not the best, so I would not recommend walking during non daylight hours. However there is an amazing southern cuisine restaurant right beside the hotel, that has amazing food and a nice bar. Although the restaurant is not a part of the hotel, it definitely offset some of the not so pleasant aspects of the hotel. Room/Accomodation: I don't like being negative, however I did have a major issue with the room. When I walked into the room, I thought it was acceptable given the price and rating for the hotel. The bed and carpeted floors were clean. So that was a relief. However the bathroom was a let down, specifically the bathtub. There were female strands of hair stuck to the actual bath walls which really disgusted me. Given that I arrived at the hotel late and was only staying for a single night, I chose not to shower and just get out of the hotel first thing in the morning. The rest of the bathroom was clean, but the counter top was old and rotting. Due to the dirty bath tub walls, I chose not to sleep under the covers that night as I was paranoid at this point. Overall impression: The staff was friendly; Bath tub unhygienic; Good Price; Suited for hourly rentals

“Big lack of housekeeping”

This is a type of hotel that somebody wants to be ran by one person. I stayed 3 nights in it and nobody cleaned my room during this period, even though I asked for that. Big dissapointing. Very economic but not worth it.
