Poor location, outdated rooms, smells of smoke.

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Located in the hood, bad part of Atlanta. Parking was limited. They charged us for the second vehicle. Rooms were outdated, beds were hard. Hallways smelled of smoke. Breakfast was very small with lots of people waiting in line in a tight, small, buffet area.

Decent place for reasonable price

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Stayed one night here for a braves baseball game. Under 2 miles from turner field. I would stay here again. Pros: price compared to other hotels in atl, staff friendliness , close to everything. Cons: bathroom could be cleaner but not bad, mattress felt like a piece of plywood but sleeps fine after a few cocktails.

The hotel was near the Georgia dome and had a great rate for the two nights we stayed. The room was clean and the employees were nice and helpful.

Castleberry Ok

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Well I'm used to a more upscale hotel so this one did not meet up to my expectations. First off no blankets on the bed and the towels had stains to the point I air dried myself so I won't be staying here again the staff was friendly though

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Just spent a night there...Needed a cheap room for concert at the Georgia Dome... Was in walking distance with free parking!! Saved $20-$50 on that! Rooms are ok.... Staff nice and friendly. Def served it's purpose and worth the $

Cheap Price, Rundown Rooms, Sketchy Neighborhood

Posted 7-Jul-2014
Pros: It's a cheap hotel and the staff are friendly. It is located close to the Georgia Dome, within walking distance in fact, which saved money on MARTA
Cons: Rooms are rundown, broken outlets, door gaps, dirty hairy bathrooms, water damage, all their renovation money is spent on the lobby.
Location: This is 10 minutes walking from the Georgia Dome/CNN center, but the walk is dangerous. Take the bus, the stop is right on the corner.
Location: 3/5 stars Neighborhood:1/5 stars Room cleanliness: 1/5 stars Room upkeep: 1/5 stars Renovated Lobby: 4/5 stars Friendly staff: 4/5 stars Breakfast: 2/5 stars Parking: 1/5 stars I booked the Castleberry Inn after finding out last minute I needed to attend a convention at the Georgia Dome. Most of the hotels in the area were three times the room rate, and with 3/5 stars I figured I was pretty safe in staying there. First off the good: It's a cheap hotel and the staff are friendly, even when I checked in at 12:30 AM. The hotel is located close to the Georgia Dome, within walking distance in fact, which saved money on public transportation (MARTA) and/or parking. They provide a breakfast which consists of Coffee/Decaff, Orange/Apple Juice, Yogurt, Cold Cereal, stale bagels, and waffles. I never saw anyone attempt the waffle iron, and I didn't myself because it didn't look like it actually worked. There is also a fruit tower with Bananas, Orange, and two kinds of apples. Okay the bad: Hair in the shower, for TWO days. The third day they finally cleaned the bathroom. The bed is hard as a rock and has no blankets. Power outlets were broken by the desk. The shower head is basically a shower hose mister, and the ceiling in my room was so water damaged I am sure that roof will cave in during the next bid storm. The worst part is they renovated their lobby, which means they know it's a fleabag, but want it to appear like a good hotel.
