Dangerous Area

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Renovate rooms Better lighting in rooms
Location: Convention Center Falcons stadium
The hotel and facilities are old and have not been renovated. But biggest issue is the area. The hotel is located in a dangerous area according to the locals. To illustrate my point: - The 3 Uber and Taxi drivers we used commented on how bad the area was and that we should not go out. One drivers exact words were "Don't you guys read the reviews!?" - The hotel recommended we take an hour taxi ride (with traffic and construction) the 3/4 of a mile to a convention center because walking there at 7am was too dangerous. - An older gentleman who appeared in his 70's, asked a group of 3 of us (adult males) if we were "ok" because we were walking on the sidewalk after dark. - Finally, while walking to the hotel a driver leaned his head out the window and yelled to us "don't go that way, don't go that way!".

Centrally and conveniently located

Pros: A lot of things but mostly it's Proximity to the train station
Cons: The room furniture could actually be improved on
Location: Hey, it's in downtown atlanta. So many attractions nearby.
I actually enjoyed staying there. The hotel manager G.Brooks was exceptionally very nice and friendly. Gave me cool tips on where and where to do my shopping. Many many thanks to her. I will definitely stay there again whenever am in Atlanta.

Hotel close to GWCC .. 1 mile approx (walking dist

Pros: reasonable for people with money constraints
Cons: housekeeping, breakfast
If you can del with a bad service.. that is if you do not plan to be in your room the whole day, this can be a wonderful stay option for you. Good room, clean on the first day, receptionist was polite, very reasonable and the best part for me was the small garden at the center of the hotel. Ideal for smoking while working. Do not expect a worthy breakfast and daily room cleaning.

Just AWFUL!!!!!!

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Tear it down, build a new one and most importantly KEEP IT CLEAN!!!
Location: Near run down area. Close to downtown.
Worst place I have ever stayed in. The bed was dirty, the linens had not been changed. There were other peoples hair on the sheets. Bathroom was nasty. The bedside lamps were missing the bulbs. You can hear other peoples noises. Parking space is very limited. The building outside looks decent, but the inside is a different story. Needless to say I did not have a good night sleep.

Old but a paint job help to make it pleasing.

Pros: They have their own restaurant nearby and the meals were good and reasonably priced.
Cons: Get rid of the pay for printing computer as it seems poor service delivery in hotel facilities today.
Location: It is the closest hotel to the Dome. But I found that it was within about 3 to 4 miles of a number of attractions.
The hotel has been painted and the room I was in was quite large with a lounge to sit in. I stayed 5 nights and the hotel was not too busy in that time. That may have lead me to have plenty of space for breakfast (not it is a continental breakfast with waffles available). But for me that was enough (but I would have liked black tea to have been available). The staff appeared helpful and friendly. The floors are a little thin and you can hear footsteps coming from the floor above. But you could not hear noised from other rooms through the walls. I did not have a car so I found that it was too much to walk to the many downtown attractions without too much difficulty. But I did in the end workout that the MARTA is a very cheap and convenient way to get around.

Decent place to sleep

Posted 17-Sep-2014
If you need a place to sleep overnight and a shower, this is your hotel. Nothing spectacular about the hotel or service. I only chose it because I'm low maintenance and there was a price discount. I wouldn't pay the full price for a room here.

12:30 am Wake Up Call

Posted 2-Sep-2014
Everything in the room was okay, but just okay. The hotel shares a parking lot with some apartments next door, so the parking situation is terrible. We were traveling with our 16 month old baby, and after finally getting to her to sleep at about 10:30 pm because of the loud stereo someone was blaring outside, we got a phone call at 12:30 am from the front desk. Their computer system was having problems when we checked in and they were calling to confirm what room we were in. The call woke up my baby and kept us up for quite awhile. I don't know why this all could not have been handled at check out!!!
