Check in was a bit of a nightmare. The room they gave me was nice but the AC was making lots of noise. I went back down to the lobby and complain and they put me into a new room. This AC wouldn’t go below 76°, so I went back down to the lobby again, and so I went back to the original room and they dispatched a maintenance man. The only problem was the filters hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and that’s what was making the noise also, while I was down in the lobby, another guest complained that her room wasn’t made at all , and finally, my room didn’t have a refrigerator in it. They unboxed the new refrigerator and brought it up to my room that evening. The mattress was thin and hard. I went there to ride motorcycles so I’ve been riding all day and fell right to sleep, because I was so exhausted , so the thin mattress did really bother me in short, these guys need to be better organized and using checklist. The front desk lady was very professional. You could tell she was stressed but she handled it well. Maintenance van was very polite. The staff was five stars out of five stars , in terms of professionalism, this is probably the only hotel in Etowah so they have a captive audience. They just need to do a better job of making sure their rooms are ready.
