My wife & I visited the area for a quiet getaway & to attend a revival at a church nearby.The staff was friendly & accomadating.We would definitely stay there again.

Don’t Botger With this Place. Was assigned a room and we opened the door and other people were staying in it It smelled nasty. Had to go back to the desk to get another room. We’ve stayed at a number of Holiday Inn’s and this is unbelievably the worst. This compares to a low end cheap hotel. It’s a total ripoff for the price. Avoid this place

Good morning, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to see that you didn't have a great experience here with us. Being sent to a room that someone else is in is not acceptable. The desk is working hard to make sure that is never another issue. As far as the smell in the guest room, I'm not sure what that would have been. They may have had food in there. I hope you will give us another chance in the future to change your mind about us.

The interior is dated and needs to be brought up a bit. My wife was not able to get the card reader to work in door which required sliding the card reader through a slot and so called the front desk. She had to wait over 10 minutes for somebody to show up to let her in. A little bit of a let-down from the Holiday Inn that she stayed at the night before which was $30 less espensive as well.

It was very nice. The roads were bad from the snow. The guy at the front desk told us about a restaurant that delivered. We took advantage of it so we wouldn't have to go back outside. Excellent restaurant.

Worse Holiday Inn Express ever.
This was the absolute worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. First the parking lot was full of ice, sidewalk were not clear or even salted. The rooms are rough looking and I think my bedsheets had not been changed from the last person was in the room. There was a lot of debris in the sheets. Every workout machine in the gym was broke, nothing worked. Feel like I should get a refund for this terrible hotel y'all advertised.

Check in Nightmare
We were given 5 different rooms before finally being able to settle in for the night. We were given multiple keys that didn’t work, then sent to a room that was occupied or hadn’t been cleaned yet, then given a room that was not what we reserved and could not accommodate us before finally getting into a room. We have small children and it was late at night and we had to traipse them across the hotel several times. It was awful and seemed like they had no idea what they were doing

Hotels.com sold me a double bed 1 rm. with none available when we arrived, so we had to stay in a king size with a pullout. The stay was fine other than my kids not having a bed rather then a pullout couch. Thanks Marke

Had two rooms, one room looked like door was previously jimmied open and brass plate was bent so hard to shut door. Never fixed. 2nd room the key card programming was broken and we had to have the staff open door. The manager was rude and seemed put out. No discount for this or offer to switch rooms. The other women night staff thought it was funny when we couldn’t get either door open.

The pull out bed wasterrible. My 10 year old woke up stiffand sore feom sleeping on it. The water pressure was horrible in the shower. And one staff member was rude.

I usually hold Holiday Inn to a higher standard. There was a weird smell in the lobby, and there were water stains on the ceiling. Booked a 2-queen bed room thru hotels.com and upon arrival was told there was only 1-king bed rooms available. My daughter said the sofa was very uncomfortable. I had to share a bed with my husband and my 200 lb giant of a son. The bed was so hard, and there were springs digging in my back all night. The room smelled musty. Luckily, I carry a tiny febreze with me. There was a dead bug in the bathroom floor, some sort of poop-looking skid mark in the carpet, whisker hairs in the sink, and crumbs between the bed and side table. Needless to say, I left my shoes on until I got into the bed. I was disappointed in my stay.

I was hit with a $50 fee at check in. Completely unexpected as it wasn’t listed in the price. The walls are incredibly thin and we can hear every step other guests make. Sleeping is going to be very difficult.

Just after checking in, the corner of a rug in front of the check-in desk came up and I tripped over it, falling very hard on the lobby floor. The clerk never came around the desk to assist me, and offered zero help whatsoever. I was shocked that in the hospitality industry the was zero hospitality for a guest in very obvious distress. The lack of any response or empathy reflects terribly not only on this location, but IHG overall. I advised the clerk of the incident at checkout the next morning. She did apologize, but I've heard nothing from IHG about the incident.

The humidity in the room was awful and it smelled. The maid didn’t come clean room. When we arrived there was was appears to be drops of blood on carpet and bedside table and when we complained and asked for another room we were told they were full. We would have just left but the hotels in the area are very few and we were visiting our ailing grandpa.

You can tell they’ve had water damage. Peeling wallpaper, the room smelled musty and had water spots on the shelves. Mold growing on the light fixtures & bathtub. I’m sure this was a really nice hotel at one point but hasn’t been kept up. There were crumbs and dirt in the hallways. This was just a stopover on our way home or else we would not have stayed there. The area around the hotel is rundown with closed establishments.the pool water was cloudy. The pictures are very deceiving. The staff that checked us in was very nice, but the older woman just hanging out on the bench by the door puffing on a cigarette was a little off putting. In the morning, another staff member in scrubs also smoking on the bench.

Pool was closed. Also saw a comment from a week before that the pool was closed then, too. The gym equipment didn't function properly. Property didn't seem as in good of shape as typical Holiday Inn Express hotels (we stayed in three different HIE over the past week)

In typical fashion ihg was still better then the rest. However this property was a little dissapointing compared to the other 18 ihg i have stayed at. Very little food and drink options, no alcohol,no pool, rooms roofs were leaking or had leaked, the walls and sheetrockers painter needs to contact a true professional, the room was wet, ac and or heat pump was noisy and tan brown colored, rust in heat ducts and vents. The tv is a roku you should just leave the roku it is better then cable. Breakfast lady and front desk were whislimg dixies smoking the meth pipe while working in the dark til 645 with no lights when the lights suppose to turn on 630 for breakfast, gold door handles, caulking needed all over. Just tighten it up to make it top notch definitly best in sweetwater but.....get a good contractor fire the handy andy dopesmoker

Good morning Jeremy, Thank you for your review. I have a few things to add to it. For you too call any of my staff drug user in any form is unacceptable. I have a great staff here and they could pass a drug test any day. The lights, they are on every weekday by 6:30am. The ac's are in fact off white. That is the color of them from the manufacturer. Disappointing
While the hotel overall was ok, there were many disappointing parts. The hotel needs a lot of updates and renovations. The room we stayed in was in a bit of disrepair. The paint/drywall on the ceiling was cracking and peeling. The hinges on the doors were rusting. There were stains in the bathtub and bathroom tile. Also, the pool had a sign that said it was being cleaned and would be closed until further notice. This was a big disappointment to our kids. The front desk staff were not very helpful and a bit rude.
