“Friendly staff, strategic location (near metro station), but a bit dangerous at night”

“Nice hotel for the price”
Other reviewers have mentioned already the issues of the neighborhood and that the hotel looks a bit old. I found no such problems myself. If you wish to have a sense of Athens outside the touristy Plaka this is one of the grittier choices. You are right next to Omonia, and not far from food choices in Psirri where locals eat. Nor does the hotel look that old, it has a charm to it. The hotel staff are friendly. I have only two complaints: first I asked for a quiet room which I got; but it was also a room facing the back of a wall, almost (two terraces below where loud conversations continued through the night). I would suggest under this circumstance a room in the front side of the hotel is a better choice and just keep the room closed and the a/c going for quiet. Also they should be clearer about the breakfast times, which I missed largely because the night staff got his English phrases mixed up, and ended up telling me that it started at 9am when what he meant was that it ended at 9am. But they did offer me a cold coffee at the coffee bar next to the hotel.
“Very good hotel, but crowd neighborhood”
Very good hotel, but crowd neighborhood. Very close to metro station that will travel directly to the airport. Don't get out of the main avenue; back streets are full of drugs. If you are male (or traveling with male) the area is ok, but if traveling with kids is not the best place (a crime neighborhood).
“Delphi Art Hotel”
Not necessarily a 4 star hotel by American standards, but definitely good for what we paid. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had any issues (our electronic key never worked the duration of our stay); however, the carpets were incredibly dirty which put me off from the beginning and it was in a very dirty/sketchy neighbourhood. The room was nice (modern looking and clean) and it had air conditioning, but the beds were not comfortable. Decent location - about 2 subway stops to the Acropolis.
“Hotel vieillot et environnement terrible”
Hôtel qui n'est pas sur de devoir mériter 2* et certainement pas 4*. Personnel charmant mais état de l'hotel : totalement à rénover. Lumière blafarde partout. Pas d'éclairage devant la porte de ma chambre, carte de la porte de la chambre ne fonctionnant pas, absence d'ampoule dans la chambre, vitre cassée de la fenêtre, vue sur une cour étroite et sale. Environnement autour de l'hôtel : prostitution, drogue, mendicité
