Don't stress about the location like all these other reviewers are. Like any country, if you wander down the back streets in the middle of the night then yes you will see some dodgy characters. The hotel is located on a busy main road with plenty of normal non-threatening people walking around. 10 minutes walk up this road is Omonia Square & train station, lots of hotels and restaurants around, another 15mins walk is Monastiraki - the main tourist area (again just stick on the main road and head towards the Acropolis).
The hotel itself is decent, wifi isn't bad, staff are friendly and greet you every time you enter the hotel. Rooms are clean and pretty spacious, air-con works well, beds are comfy enough and bathroom is good. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't eat in the hotel.
My only negative is that the cleaning staff in the morning are loud and don't really take into consideration that people are trying to sleep. Our room was next door to their storage room which had a phone in it that rang constantly all morning. Either it would ring and ring and ring and no one would answer, or when a woman did answer she spoke so loudly it was like she was standing in our room having the conversation.
Other than that, no real complaints. Distance to main tourist areas is short, train station is 10mins walk up the road, just don't go down the backstreets after all the shops close and you'll be fine.
