The hotel is dilapidated, the blinds were old and broken, the seal around the bath wasn't stuck down. The mattress cover was a duvet!!! The silver in the wash hand basin has peeled off and the two chairs were plastic. Overall it was a dump, in it's hay day it was probably a nice hotel but it hasn't been maintained which is a shame. We were due to spend another night after our cruise but I cancelled it and booked another hotel as there was no way I was going to stay there another night, even if it was free.

Below average hotel in a super bad area, lots of drug addicts all over. Parking is two blocks away. Room was old with AC that made noises all night long.

Decent hotel. Air conditioning requires the presence the room key. If you are out all day and the weather is hot, the room takes a long time to cool.

Staff was nice , friendly, my room was cleaned every day. However the fridge in the room wasn't working, not enough toiletries, plus it was very noisy. The area around hotel is very sketchy, many homeless, drug users around

Not sure how Expedia rated this a 4* hotel. Google maps rated it a 1*, which would be far more accurate. The minibar fridge didn't work. There are no coffee making facilities in the room, although the description didn't state that there would be. There was no info sheet about the hotel, and no instructions for the safe. These are things that would be standard in a 4*. I guess the 1* price should have given the game away.

Nice boutique hotel
Nice boutique hotel in an okay neighborhood. The room was a bit plain and dated, but served our purposes well. The neighborhood was a bit rough, but we (husband & wife) felt safe. We had two great meals at local kebab restaurants. If you are looking for an inexpensive, quiet hotel within a quick subway ride or longer walk to attractions, this is your hotel!

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room 303 was comfortable if not a bit noisy with a local local disco/ nightclub. It’s location is about a 5-10 minute walk to the local metro station. There is a good choice at breakfast. The area around the hotel is a bit rough and ready but that can be true for a lot of areas in Athens itself. There is no on site parking but there is a paid car park a 2-3 minute walk away.

The service was excellent. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The neighborhood while centrally located, didn’t feel entirely safe but we had a taxi pick us up and drop us off when we ventured out so it was fine. Overall a good experience. The hotel staff were super nice & accommodating.

Friendly staff at check in counter and cleaning staff. Room was terrible, so much noise from outside, if you're a light sleeper, AVOID! I had trouble sleeping all night and I'm an easy sleeper. The room is supposed to be sound proof, it definitely isn't. Check in was at 2pm but room was not ready until almost 3pm. When we got to the room, the cleaners were still inside and they looked at us confused and shocked that we were standing there. Booked for 2 Double beds ended up being 1 double, 1 single and 1 single roll out that was so uncomfortable, you could feel the wire frame. And the blanket they gave for this bed felt like an old curtain shoved into a blanket cover. Dodgey area around the hotel, felt very unsafe so avoid walking back late at night. It is near a homeless area and lots of homeless people wandering around.

We received a free upgrade. The staff where amazing. We arrived late approx 9:30pm and they still served us dinner. Which was 5 star. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend this place to stay. Absolutely beautiful.

Five Stars
We ended up staying here after our transportation to Santorini was delayed. The service from the staff here is unmatched. The staff ended up doing more for us than our own travel agency did! They helped us book flights, spoke to representatives on the phone that couldn’t understand us, booked cabs for us (and reminded us that it was daylights saving time here in Greece), mapped out a day of sightseeing for us during our delay. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to be around during such a frustrating time. Not to mention the room was lovely;comfy beds, spacious, pristine bathrooms and even a balcony! Staff is amazing, super kind and hospitable. Met with smiles our entire stay. Five stars all around.

Fantastic over the moon.
Fantastic family run feel. all the luxury of 4 star as you would expect. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is very good and plenty to choose from. I will stay there again.

Art Hotel
As they say about the hidden hole in the wall, so was Art Hotel, not in the best of location, but an amazing hotel & super services. Special mention about Tesos at the reception. We had stay at Art during Athens Marathon event, the hotel provided early breakfast to the participants by opening time at 5 AM, that was really commendable. A quick walk to Osmonia Metro, but avoidable as in many metropolis (area), stay away during late hours. .

The hotel is at least close enough to all the tourist sites but the neighborhood was less than desirable and there were no good restaurants nearby. And we did like the rooftop pool - super cool and secluded. As for the room, we must have been in a remodeled section of the hotel because it didn't match the look of the rest of the hotel. I love modern decor but the industrial concrete ceiling and walls that were devoid of any "art", a rock hard mattress covered with a lonely white sheet topped unceremoniously with 2 flat pillows, and a single, basic desk were a little too Spartan for a place called Art Hotel. Also, one of the built-in cabinet doors had a broken hinge and rested on the floor. But the worst part was the annoying sound of rushing water through the pipes that happened every 20 seconds (literally, we counted) that was so loud we couldn't even ignore it with jet lag tiredness. On a positive note, we did like the the modern looking bathroom - coolest part of the whole room.

Hotel has lots of character. Don't be put off by the outside. It is clean, spacious and comfortable. Great location to walk to Syntagma Square and it is close to a Hop On-Hop Off stop. The staff were great, always friendly and gave us tips on things to do. We had a very early reservation for a ferry and they accomodated us with breakfast at 5:30 am. It was a little noisy as we faced the busy street but since we were so busy during the day we were exhausted and slept right through it. If you are a light sleeper you might consider asking for a room in the back.

Great location, Great staff.
The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to food, shopping and attractions. They offer a great airport pickup service at a very fair price. The free breakfast is excellent - meats, cheeses, breads, juice, fresh fruit and more. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Comfort is the weakness of this hotel. The beds were passable, the pillows were not good and the air conditioner did not cool the room properly - perhaps is was not powerful enough for the room but we left it at 20c overnight and it only cooled the room from 26 to 24c (about 75 Farenheit), and did not seem to remove the humidity, so a little uncomfortable. The room was also very dark, one of the pot lights was hanging from a wire and the walls require a new coat of paint. I think that in a small room dark paint colour is not the best choice. The door handle was loose and fell off if the door was closed with any authority (we brought this to the attention of the front desk but it was not addressed). Also, the bathroom sink did not drain properly. I would also not recommend the triple room - it is really only large enough for 2. The final point is that the lovely, large, glass bathroom door did not have any type of a latch so you could place it in the closed position but there was no way to prevent someone from wandering in. We feel that the upside of the hotel does outweigh the downside and we do recommend it.

The hotel and staff are excellent and the service awesome. Hotel is really nice and the breakfast was good. The surrounding area looks rough with a lot of hookers around. But it seriously wasn’t bad at all. Nobody bothered my wife and I when we went walking at night. I found it looked rough but was fine. Great hotel.

The only thing I didn’t like that I was charge for taxi. I ask a guy at the reception to order taxi, he couldn’t and told me to go look for the taxi my self. I did but when my friends was checking out because I left earlier they told them to pay. I don’t get why I had to walk to the center to get my self a taxi. My friends couldn’t explained to them because they don’t speak English very well. But that receptionist guy knew and still charge us. I don’t get it why.

We booked a normal room at first and once we arrive it was not what we had hoped. We spoke the the lovely gentleman at the desk and asked about upgrading to a suite which we were able to do for very reasonable price. The suite room was delightful with your own jaccuzi. The only small downside was that the double bed was still two single beds pushed together with a comforter on top,although that wasn't really an issue as it was still comfortable! The best part of the hotel is the staff, I have never met more helpful staff, from booking us trips and finding out information for us, advising us on places to go and the best ways to go about it, food choices, places to eat,everything, they are fantastic!!

Great staff!
Our hotel stay was great! The lady at the front desk said if we emailed our boarding passes to her that she would print then for us. The next morning we left at 5am and as we were checking out she had prepared all of our boarding passes and had each envelop labeled for us with our flights on them. She went above and beyond and it was much appreciated!

Cozy bed and breakfast.
If your looking for a fancy hotel I would not suggest this. However, if you like a friendly and cozy atmosphere I would say this is your place. The staff was beyond accommodating and lovely to chat with. Breakfast was delicious and a plentiful buffet. Overall has an amazing stay.

The hotel has some lovely Art Deco features and we had a very generous balcony. The manager was very helpful and informative but terribly busy and could have used some assistance. The hotel in general was a little run down. The breakfast was included and offered lots of choices and was regularly re-stocked.

Not a good experience. Initially they gave us a room which was like 2 star. Then they gave us another room which was OK but all facilities were not available. WiFi didn't work throughout our stay and also room phone wasn't working at all. Breakfast was OK , not many option for vegetarian people. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. People were nice.
