“Honestly We loved staying here.”
We loved staying here. Its hard to find at first if you don't know the area we once lived not far away so knew of the hotel but if you don't no the area get a very detailed map. The hotel was really great very clean staff were really helpful if you want an extra pillow or you safe doesn't work. The breakfast was good for Greek standards, Greeks don't do breakfast well but we never went without. The room was small but why would you want it any bugger when you are in Athens and have all that to explore, rooms are for sleep and that is all when on holiday. The bed was also very hard I loved it but my husband didn't sleep so well. The best parts of the hotel; The roof garden has a really great view, the shower was AMAZING in our room and it was cool inside.
“Great location, nice hotel”
Lovely roof terrace and a good location in a bustling area. Would go back.
“Hotel trés bien situé pour visiter Athénes”
Hotel trés bien situé pour visiter Athénes. Nous n'avons pas eu à utiliser les transports en commun. Au cas où, une station de metro est à proximité (utile pour l'arrivée depuis l'aéroport). Hotel trés propre, chambres agréables. Belle vue de l'acropole depuis la terrasse en haut de l'hotel. Seul le quartier de l'hotel est moyen, mais typique d'Athénes.
“Very Impressed”
Great service and location. Hotel staff helped me plan my itinerary in Munich and access to the S-bahn/U-bahn/train station made getting around very easy.
“Great hotel for travellers in center of Athens”
good location in center of Athens, newly revovated, clean, safe, good breakfast
“Recomended”
Positive experience. A block over there is a street lined with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, & desert shops. We wish we had a couple more days there to try more of them. A block in the other direction is the market. This hotel is in a great location. At first we where a bit concerned due to graffiti on some of the surrounding buildings. After walking the neighborhood streets, a couple of nights, we found there was no cause for concern. Neighborhood is very quiet.
“Good value”
Most comfortable bed I have slept in for ages. The first time duvets have been encountered in many years travel in Greece. Lack of drawers in room but not a major problem. Swipe card operates safe as well as room door and lights and there was a useful delay between removing card from slot and lights going out (not always the case elsewhere). Neighbourhood picturesque - turn right (south) when you leave hotel after dark and you are soon in the heart of Psyrri nightlife with plenty of people around. Easy reach of direct Metro from airport.
“nice hotel”
Avoid back rooms - the view is bit depressing. The imeldiate neighbourhood looks bad at first but there are nice surprises once you get used to it
“Good location for the Young Traveller!!”
My husband and I came on our honeymoon and stayed for a few nights (before heading to the islands), and though Arion is hidden in a street somewhat off the beaten path, it's a 5 minute walk from Monastiraki square, and another 5 minutes to some great shopping, and another 5 minutes from Syntagma Square. The rooftop terrace has a BREATHTAKING view of the Acropolis (they were not exaggerating about that). The rooms themselves were small (but it's Europe so we expected that), but it was comfortable and clean. There was a refrigerator and an in-room safe (which is controlled by your room key). The bathroom is nice and big too. Downside: the concierge/front desk service is rather cold. They were not at all willing to offer information unless you asked, and even then, it was short and not very helpful.
