“Great location for Athens sites!!”

The hotel was nice, the reception personnel were friendly and courteous. I had booked this room well in advance and was surprised that they had it ready before 1pm! It is a great location to everything. I would definitely stay there again.

“Great hotel in great location”

We stayed at the Amalia early december 09 and really liked it. We took the subway from the airport and once we got off at Syntagma Square, the hotel was just across the street. The breakfast buffet is a very complete spread but you have to be careful that it is included with your hotel room. Great location to walk anywhere. The only issue we had was the heating system was on at the hotel and you could not turn it off, nor could you open the window fully. It was in the 60's outside and the room was just way too hot to sleep comfortably. There is an AC system in the room but it is disabled when the central heating is on. We would stay again at the hotel at another time of the year when the heating isn't on.

“We hope you have rooms on our next trip to Athens”

Our stay was great!! We booked two rooms next to each other for our family to visit Athens for a week and to attend the Athens Marathon. We hope to return to Athens as a jumping-off point to see more of Greece and hopefully when we do, the Amalia will have rooms available. Thanks for a fanstastic, comfortable stay. Your location could not be better!! The only drawback for us was no iron and board in the room, but that will not prevent our return.

“Perfect location”

The Hotel location is perfect, on the edge of Parliament Square and minutes from the shops and restaurants. The Hotel was was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.Breakfast had a wide choice. The roof terrace gives a fantastic view, especially of the Acropolis at night.. The bus to the airport starts round the corner to the hotel and only 3.20 Euros. The trams start outside too.

“Excellent Location!”

While I reserved a superior room, I found it a little small. That being said, I was in the hotel not that much. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and the breakfast amazing beyond belief. The breakfast (which is included with the room) was a buffet with 2 types of eggs, bacon, sausage, vegetables, desserts and various Greek foods. You couldn't ask for better. Plus, it is served until 10:30am. The hotel is located right in Syntagma Square across the street from the Royal Park. We never once had to take a cab or metro (except to/from the airport) as it is easy walking distance to everything. From the rooftop, you can see the Olympic Stadium and the Acropolis. The staff were extremely helpful when asking for directions and suggestions. They all spoke perfect English. All of the tours we booked also left from this hotel, which is extremely convenient. We had a late flight to London and they held our luggage in a locked room of the lobby for safe keeping. We were both very pleased with this hotel and will stay there again. Why stay at the Grand Bretagne (which you can see across the Square from the roof top) when you can save money and stay here?
