I loved that you didn’t get all the extra hotel sound traffic ( people on another level) and outside traffic like people slamming car doors . I could have slept in all day vs ski lol

Nice Hotel, Questionable Management
This hotel is in a great location, about 200ft from the buses to town and all of Aspen's ski areas. The room was exactly what we needed and the complementary breakfast was great pre-ski day. The only downside is the management was really difficult when I had an issue with our room. Rather than being receptive and helpful, I was met with an extremely condescending attitude from the front desk. It was as if I was in the wrong for raising a very clear problem with our accommodation. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Aspen. Just don't expect a welcoming response if you have an issue with your stay.

We are glad the room and breakfast met your expectations.I was not privy to the conversation that took place regarding the sounds coming from our hot water heating system which does on occasion gurgle as the water courses through the pipes, so I can't really address the specific tone of that interchange. Knowing that you arrived late, I do suspect that in the course of a technical explanation and your fatigue after a long travel day, your perception was less than favorable. We absolutely strive to be courteous and accommodating to all our guests at all times. Apologies if that did not seem the case in this instance.When you return to Aspen, we hope we have the chance to show you that we do provide welcoming attitudes and respect to all our guests. Friendliest Staff and Super Cozy Inn!
Friendliest Staff! We had a lovely stay at the Annabelle Inn. Our room was spacious and spotless, with great decor throughout the Inn. Formerly known as Christmas Inn, I found Christmas! The breakfast buffet was simple, but filling. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. I would highly recommend!

The room was charming. Staff was great. Breakfast was very good. No Fridge, no safe and no microwave. The air conditioner needed updating. It was very hard to adjust for comfort. The price was too high for what we got.

As this is a public forum, we do wish to address some of the issues you raised. It is true we don't have refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. We will happily heat anything needed during our office hours. We do offer coolers with ice packs upon request as well as storing items in our kitchen refrigerator, again upon request. Regarding the air conditioner, did you notice the arrow keys up or down on the unit allowing you to set the machine to the actual temperature you desired?We do wish you had come to us with some of your concerns so that we could have addressed them while you were here. We are very proactive about trying to accommodate that which we can.Our pricing is among the last in that range in Aspen and the majority of our guests feel it's a good value, as reflected in the various comments in this forum.All this said, we do appreciate your business and we hope we have the chance to welcome you back to the Inn another time.All the best to you in your home and in your future travels.DavidFront Desk

Nice place. A little tough on parking. Only parking is street parking. Not enough space in the room for a chair. Lobby closed at 8:00 so the only place to sit thereafter was on the bed. Excellent service.Within\ walking distance of everything needed in Aspen.

We do appreciate all feedback, as it's the only way we can improve those things we are able to. As we are at the start of a residential zone, we don't have a dedicated parking lot. As you mentioned, there is a lot of street parking for blocks and blocks around us, and we are happy to issue a parking pass enabling one to park anywhere in this neighborhood. Guests generally have luck alongside our building or directly across the street. I hope you had that kind of luck as well.It is true that our rooms vary in size and sadly I see that you had one of our smaller rooms that did not have an accent chair other than the desk chair found in every room.. We apologize for that inconvenience.Thank you for noting those things that were pleasant for you overall. The staff was delightful, solicitous, helpful, and fun to talk to. The free breakfasts were great. We enjoyed the beverages in the common area after hiking, and cookies were a treat. The bed was surprisingly high, but we're both on the short side.

Only part nicer than the hotel was the staff. Molly in particular went above and beyond to help me, from finding a pair of scissors to an emergency umbrella the service was excellent. I will be back, a great value for the money and chant to boot

Said best: “The location is nice, but everything else is not nice” - The pillows had security tags on them. Not comfortable, and are stolen pillows really a big enough issue to justify that? - The room had a strong smell of sewage. Possibly from AC or bad drains… some external issue that hasn’t been addressed. - Daily housekeeping is only upon request. We didn’t have our room cleaned, but we wanted extra towels one afternoon. The woman at the front desk rolled her eyes at us when we asked for this! She said in an exasperated tone she could drop some off for us, but we should’ve asked earlier. I don’t understand the need to be so rude about this type of request. Also, she ended up dropping them off in a trash bag on the dirty carpet rather than in the bathroom. - Very noisy. You can hear everything in the courtyard and in rooms surrounding you. Not worth the price.

Hello Isabella, Thank you for taking the time to address the issues you experienced at The Annabelle Inn. We welcome feedback of all kinds, for it is the only way we can address and improve things, especially in situations that we can rectify. We wish to respond to the concerns you raised, as this is a public forum. The tags on the pillows are not security tags to prevent theft. They are placed on the pillow protectors as a hygienic measure and a continuation of Covid protocols we put in place during the pandemic. We've never had a pillow stolen in the 5 years I've worked here, so I assure you that is not the intention. Regarding the smell you encountered in your room: This is the first time we have heard such a comment. We are proactive regarding maintenance needs on our property and within minutes of your departure started a thorough and lengthy flush of the storm drain located in the lower courtyard area in an effort to remedy the situation. We do wish you had let us know earlier so that we could have either moved you to another room or addressed the issue more quickly. About the situation you encountered over the towels: At check-in, we are very clear that our housekeepers provide service upon request, again a post-Covid protocol. We are happy to replace towels, linens, take out trash, etc., always upon request. Our housekeepers were already gone for the day, and I know the woman at the desk was frustrated over that fact. She took the towels to your room in a clean compostable bag and placed them just inside the room, as she said she would. Our carpets are not dirty. Perhaps the placement should have been different. It’s hard to backpedal on that now. Please accept our apologies for that. And lastly, it is unfortunate that you heard sounds from the only room that is adjacent to the one in which you stayed. We would gladly have asked those guests to observe our quiet hours which begin at 10pm. Sadly, there is nothing we can do at this point to change anything you experienced. Great little place in a convenient location
We had a wonderful time in Aspen staying at Annabelle Inn. The place has everything that you'd need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is great and service is even better. The gentleman who takes care of the guests in the morning is very helpful and friendly. I especially appreciate the variety of teas that were available since I'm a tea drinker. The room was quite warm and we didn't need to turn on the heat the entire time. We actually had to put the fan on at night to sleep. It might be because we're on the top floor. We were able to park right by the building and didn't have to move our car the entire time we were there. However I understand that all parking belongs to the city, so I'm not sure what happens if you can't find a spot in the area. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

All the staff were helpful and nice. We got a call the day before we arrived to review after hours - late check in procedures. There were bottles of water and cookies in our room for the number of guests (3) which really showed the level of hospitality. Breakfast had many good options and daily offering of quiche during our stay. We only stayed 2 nights so we didn’t have room serviced.

Nice rooms but if you were staying longer than a few days, not so much storage space for clothes etc. The staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful.

Charming hotel in Aspen
The Annabelle Inn is a charming hotel a short walk to downtown Aspen. The staff walkers all fantastic and the room was well appointed but small. Breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus.

Great little place.
Excellent place. Smallish bathroom but no biggie. Didn't spend much time in the room. Excellent location right on the bus lines. Getting anywhere in town was easy. Walkable to downtown as well. Took advantage of the hot tub and the free breakfast. No complaints whatsoever. They also gave us a noon checkout on our departure day, which was much appreciated. I got 11k of vert in a little over an hour, and had time to shower and pack before the drive home. It was wonderful. We shall return.
