“Too small and a bit far”
This hotel has very small rooms (barely able to walk around the bed), and it is outside of Paris, so a bit far from the city center, although the Lle de France train takes to one of the mains connecting station where you can take other metro or RER lines.
“Ok...”
The hotel room is very small, but for the price, it is very fine. The only thing that really bothered us was the old smell of all the carpet and the bed sheets... Also, in the morning, we had construction work done right in front of our windows, 3 days in a row - sth they did not prevent us from when we first checked in.
“Clean, Well-Run, Contemporary (small rooms)”
Asnieres was a very pleasant town about 15 min train ride from the metro. Some of the floors of the hotel were under renovation but we loved the contemporary feel of the entire hotel and room. Although it was tiny, it was just what we needed. The internet was unreliable in our room but was strong in the dining area. Breakfast was good too; pastries, cereal, fruit, meat, cheese, and baguettes. The staff spoke English fairly well and were very accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are looking for a economic stay.
“Live Among the Locals”
Small local neighbourhood hotel just beyond the 17th arrondissement in Asnieres, easily accessed by rail to St. Lazares Station. Room was typical european, small yet efficient. The lack if AC became a bit of a problem this past summer with the heatwave. Other reviews mention staying in rooms facing the courtyrad - WRONG. Ask for street side on floor 3 or higher. The courtyard facing rooms also overlook the local police department parking lot - cops drive in, hang out, chit chat 24/7!! Continental breakfast well done.
“Great Value Hotel”
Hotel was great value for the money. Rooms were clean although small, but all rooms in Paris are fairly small. Hotel has a small but working elevator. It's located in a safe neighborhood (next to the police station) and close to the SNCF train station, a two block walk. Restaurants in area included Sushi, Greek, Moroccan, Italian, and two grocery stores. Hotel breakfast was adequate and included ham, cheese, several pastry types, yogurt, and cereal. The desk staff spoke English and did their best to meet all our requests. Only negative to report was that our room safe did not work but as a plus, the staff was more than willing to watch our valuables while we were away during the day. There are also surveillance cameras on all floors. We appreciated the free wifi throughout the hotel. The location is about 40 minutes from tourist sights around the Isle de France, i.e. Notre Dame, the Louvre, Ste. Chappelle. We had no trouble taking the trains and busses to the center of Paris leaving Asniere through the SNCF station and traveling to the Gare du Nord. We would definately return to this hotel when we plan our next trip.
“just outside of Paris”
It took me 2 hours to reach the hotel by public transport, from the airport. If going by metro/train, go to Gare du Nord as others say, then transfer to the Magenta line. Pay attention to the direction of trains, or else you will keep going up/down stairs as I did (there are a few platforms, you need the train heading to Hausmann-Lazare). Hotel is affordable, cozy, nice reception though they barely speak English (they did manage to help me out when I was in a bind, though, so kudos to them). Bring your own soap, shampoo, and hair dryer, probably (the one in the room didn't work at all). Internet in the lobby is a huge plus. I used it a lot and there wasn't a line. The bed was comfortable. Few English channels on the tv, but that's typical. Actually, this summer I stayed in a bunch of 3-4 hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and this one is not worse. It could definitely pass for a 3 star hotel. I would mostly recommend this hotel if you are staying for a long time, though. I only had 2 days in Paris and I didn't like having to wait for the train to go into the city. I also thought it might be difficult if you want to go in to Paris for the day and go back to your hotel to clean up before going out to engage in the nightlife, so it is probably better if you are interested in more quiet evenings.
“Quiet, comfort, safe (Police Station next door :)) ) for accommodation in Paris.”
Reasonable price and good location to discover Paris: train station 3 minutes, various café and restaurants nearby, and two floor Casino supermarket with a brilliant choice -makes it very convenient for staying in Hotel Wilson. And free internet access in front of Lobby and with your Laptop.
“Great area and reasonable,”
It is in an excellent area, close to shops, metro, and cafe's, the rate was very reasonable.
“Nice stay”
My companion and I stayed in a two-bed room for 8 nights at Hotel Wilson in August. The room was not large, but it was sufficient for our needs and we were pleased overall. One small complaint I have is that, on one night, I was kept awake by police talking in the court behind the hotel (police office location). Otherwise, the hotel staff were professional and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfast they served (cold cuts, croissants, cereals, fruit...). I also made use of the computer in the foyer, since I didn't bring a laptop. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Wilson.
“A small but very nice hotel for the price in the suburbs.”
A 2 minute walk to the train station and then a 10 minute train ride to downtown Paris. My room was very clean and they have wireless internet on top of a computer guests can use in the lobby.
