"Quiet countryside guesthouse with beautiful rooms"
We were delighted when we arrived at Elvey Farm. The countryside location is beautiful, tranquil and quiet and we received a warm reception. The rooms are tastefully decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. My friend and I tried their Italian restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, although at breakfast we were left for significant periods of time and the waiter seemed to be slow to take the cooked breakfast orders and not as personable in his approach as the other staff. Never-the-less, this didn't spoil our enjoyment of the food which was worth waiting for and we would definitely stay there again, probably for a week next time as there's plenty to do in the area and it was such a lovely place.
Pretty and very rural location on a farm. The Bramley room in which we stayed was tastefully decorated in Farrow And Ball colours. High quality linens, curtains and with a very comfortable king size bed and vaulted beamed ceiling. Fresh ground coffee, a flask of creamy milk and home made lemon cake were nice welcoming touches.
After finding that this hotel is actually Maidstone and not Ashford (according to Expedia) I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady by the name of Kerry who immediately removed the last few miles of tension! The actual Hotel is split into two parts and my room was a short walk away from the main complex which was great as it was lovely weather. Food was good (but could have been more of it) and room clean and tidy.
Made to feel very welcome. Being a B&B we found some good local pubs for evening meals. There are so many great places to visit within an hour's drive and the host was helpful in guiding guests to places to suit. Several National Trust gardens are close-by, with attractions at Port Lympne and Rye.
First of all the location and view is one of the best. Room was super comfy and nice and very tidy. We loved the privacy at the same time of all the necessary info. Hostess(Victoria) is very warm and helpful. We would love to visit again.
Lying in the heart of Kent, Ashford is a growing, rural town approximately 90 km southeast of England's bustling capital. Shopping lovers can marvel at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet with its huge range of high-end stores. For a relaxing break, Godington House is a beautiful country estate and the perfect location to while away the time with a cream tea and a stroll through the gardens.
