“Comfort and value”

My husband and I are used to staying in budget hotel locations, but this particular hotel was quite a bit more comfortable and clean than others we have stayed at. It is not far from downtown attractions, on a main road. The only issue we had was in asking for a late checkout. The woman we spoke with was very unfriendly. My husband went to take a shower and he didn't have hot water immediately, so we called to ask if we could have a later checkout time and wait for the water to warm up. She said that was impossible - they have never had a hot water problem in her years there, and our options were to check out on time or have a service person come look at it (which we didn't want to do since we weren't showered, and really wanted to get ready and get out). They finally let us have an additional 30 minutes. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly, however.

Hotel was clen and the location was great, but the customer service was aweful. Halfway through our stay, we had gotten locked out of our room. We had to go to that office to get another key. When housekeeping cleaned our room, she had thrown away my personal cups and paper plates that I had set aside to keep. They were no where near the trash can. They never gave us anymore more. I had to ask for more cups and tissue.

“Pretty much what I expected”

The front desk staff were very courteous, but the sign at check-in telling me that I had 10 minutes to inspect my room and object to its condition was a warning as to what to expect from my room. The room smelled of smoke, one of the lampshades was falling apart, and one of the pillows on the bed where the bedspread wasn't stained had a stain on it. Very disappointed.

“too dark, old beds, not impressed, would not recommend”

room was very dark - lights were very dim - bed was old, low to the floor and looked like a hole was cut in the mattress in the middle of the bed - kleenex stuffed in the peep hole in the door
