Beautiful vacation........ The hotel was great very clean and classy......... Service was great staff always available to assit.......... Not too sure about dinner menus as we went out for dinner every night but Breakfast and lunches were good standard resort food.......... Great hotel for young families

“Would go back in a heartbeat!!!”

We went there for 5 nights for my wife's birthday. The room wasn't ready by 4 checkin but by 5. That was the worst of it. We asked to have the minibar refreshed everyday instead of every other and they did. We emailed in advance our preferences and gave us a deluxe ocean/pool view near the beach and everyone was wishing her a happy b-day. Rooms are spotless and comfortable and spacious. We always had the room cleaned with towels by mid afternoon. Beach is a postcard and has a beach bar. Best of all nobody bothers you (vendors, jetski, etc). Food is more than adequate for an all inclusive, consistant and enough choice for any preference (try the hot papaya sauce..even on your omellette.) Good bar choices with name brands JD,Bacardi, Shmirnoff. Pool is great with lots of room and tv at the pool bar. Only had local beer, and light beer but tasted good. only at the Italian Restaurant and it was Ok. Staff were friendly and nice. I dropped a fork and before I could bend over they already were there to help get another. Did the half day jeep tour, totally a blast There is a casino not very busy and $5 table games. In conclusion, great clean hotel, great beach, good food and drinks and friendly staff. Definetly would go back

Great place. Palm Beach is large when you walk it you will see that the best section of the beach is right here. Second time and will return. Trust me.

“Affordable all-inclusive in Aruba”

The Occidental Grand Aruba was a wonderful vacation get-away. The staff was incredibly helpful, the premises were very well-maintained, and the pool area were impeccable. The beach area was spacious with many palapas and palm trees available for shade. Having read many of the other online reviews, we were initially skeptical of the quality of the food, but we admit that the food was delicious, with a wonderful variety of meals to choose from both at the buffet and at the A La Carte restaurants. There was always something to do during the day - from water sports (kayaking, snorkeling), to pool-side activities (aerobics, dancing lessons), to free bingo in the evenings – all tastes were satisfied. A free evening show was also included with our package, which featured dancing, live singing, acrobatics, and a 5-course meal. Though the nighttime events were more limited, there were often activities arranged around the lounge area (karaoke, themed music nights, etc.). In addition, the hotel is walking distance from a small square/shopping complex. Our stay coincided with the dates of the annual International Film festival, thus we were able to partake in some of the free festivities surrounding this event (free water show, movie viewings). We were highly impressed with both the hotel and with Aruba as a travel destination. Should we ever have the privilege of returning, we would once again stay at the Occidental Grand without hesitation!
