Was very disappointed, we booked because this was a Rydges, as this is somewhere we have stayed before and felt would be a great choice. However checked in on the Thursday before Good Friday and checked out Easter Monday and there was no housekeeping. This should have been highlighted on booking not when I arrived. We have never had this over Easter holidays before.

I love the place and environment of the surrounding. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast should be chefs special like making egg with toast.

I regret to inform you that our stay at Ridges Armidale from December 23 to 28, 2023, fell short of our expectations, particularly in terms of housekeeping and service provision. While the first day was satisfactory in terms of cleanliness, subsequent days witnessed a lack of home services, including the failure to provide essential items such as toilet paper and tissues. On the night of the 27th, we had to make a special request for these basic amenities and towels. Moreover, we were informed during key collection that there would be no home services on the 25th and 26th, with a promise of a $10 refund per person per day. Unfortunately, this refund has not been processed to date. Although our accommodation included breakfast, we experienced challenges with the provided items, with certain items being consistently empty. Despite reporting this to the attendants, refills were delayed, affecting the overall service efficiency. Considering the reputed status of Ridges Armidale, our five-night stay did not align with the anticipated level of service, leaving us disappointed with the overall experience. We hope for appropriate measures to be taken to rectify these shortcomings and to improve the service standards for future guests.

There was a mixup with the booking dates and this was addressed at the the time of booking in and we were told that has all been fixed” one month later we got billed for a second time costing us an additional $619. Also the bathroom had a serious problem with a bad smell emanating for on the floor waste. The main reason we chose Rydges is that they had a restaurant but annoying it was not advertised that the redturaywas not open every night - we will never stay there again

Lovely room and bathroom. Lovely restaurant. The only thing we didn't like was the QR code for info about the hotel and restaurant, so we looked it up online. Prefer to have a printed version, however looking it up online was fine.

Not worth the extra money
Booked a room that included bathrobes and heated bathroom floor. Neither of those were provided, neither was there any tissues, pen/paper or anywhere to put your luggage. When I mentioned this to the receptionist on checkout, she said they dont provide these things and blamed my booking agent for falsely advertising. However Rydges own website clearly lists bathrobes are provided in every room. She offered no apology and really had an attitude. Not worth the inflated price. Wont be staying at Rydges again!

We’ll appointed, spacious rooms with microwave, kettle, coffee pod machine. Bathroom is well appointed with quality fittings and linen. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

The rooms are great but because of a lot of dark timber - cupboards, desk etc the lighting towards bathroom, fridge area could be a bit brighter. The staff in the Restaurant were fantastic - a very busy night but their service, manner, helpfulness and cheerfulness and advice re wines etc was very much appreciated.

The restaurant is closed on Sundays and there is no option for any room service or food of any kind onsite. The room is very dated, and could use an update. The room lacks basic's like tissues. The touch points on light switches and taps are showing signs of wear.

The continental breakfast was inedible at our 8am arrival. The sausages were over cooked on one side from sitting for so llong. The tomato was dried out. The mushrooms were dried out and the chef came out and put more dried out mushrooms on top of them. If you wanted a hash brown you had to request it. If you wanted a fresh meal one couple was asked to wait 10 minutes because the chef was busy. We could only eat toast and croissant which wasn’t fresh. We had to pay an extra &5.00 for a cappuccino because someone had to make it and that was on top of the &25.00 each for the continental breakfast.
