“outstanding service”

We travel to Greeece every year and have quickly learned that 5 star is not Canadian standard 5 star - after reading some comments regarding hotel we were a little concerned but for no reason...the numerous "buttons" someone complained about for curtains etc. were standard to most high end hotels and not difficult - the showers were above average with good pressure and most rooms had a bath and shower - yes it was disappointing the original pool had been let go but the view of the "bourtsi", boardwalk and water more than compensated - there was also a beautiful pool available for use up on the mountain that gave specatacular views although it was not as clean as we hoped - hardwood floors through much of the hotel which was a nice contrast to the marble that is seen everywhere Now for the service - truly the best we have received to date - even trumped the marriot and sofitel in athens - staff spoke many languages, accomodated our last minute changes in reservations - showed us a few rooms to choose from based on our changes and explained the pros and cons honestly about all of them..had turn down service at night with chocolate on pillow....food was excellent value and variety including fresh orange juice and our favourite iced cap! Central to everything...we did not need a car once there - numerous restaurants and shops nearby....left feeling rested, pampered and thankful for the graciousness of the staff - would go back and recommend to anyone considering

“Luxury with fantastic views”

We had a lovely stay at the Amphitryon hotel. The staff were great and the view amazing. All the rooms have a lovely view of the bay. There wasn't a pool but you could use the sister hotel's pool which was good. We had a delicious meal in the hotel's restaurant, which was a bit pricey but very good.
