“great rainforest hotel”
loved this newer hotel. its in the rainforest and the birds are amazing. great staff and good breakfast buffet. location good too.... highly recommended
“Casa Luna hotel near volcano arenal I costa rica”
I had no idea that such a clean, fresh, and quiet hotel with an amazing view of arenal , spacious room with a private balcony, gorgeous grounds and landscaping could be had for this low price. We were close enough to the nearby town of la fortuna to drive to our favorite restaurant. From now on I will trust and use Expedia for all my booking!
“Oasis at the foot of the volcano.”
This was our favourite hotel in our 3 week tour of Costa Rica. The hotel is located about a 1.5 miles from La Fortuna and as a result is an oasis of calm and tranquility. We went to sleep listening to the frog chorus and were awoken by birdsong. The town of La Fortuna is very commercial and many of the hotels are on the main road so we were relieved to be staying out of town. The rooms are located over 2 floors in 2 blocks and all have balcony/sitting outdoor area with views of the volcano. Saying that don't be surprised if you can't see the volcano as it seems that more often than not most of it is obscured by cloud. However, we did catch glimpses of the top for about 30 seconds at a time when the cloud happened to drift across. The pool was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed lazing in the sunshine guessing when the volcano would reveal itself and watching the beautiful birds that were in abundance. Although not avid bird watchers we were blown away by the bird life.
“Beautiful views, wonderful staff!”
Beautiful views, kind and helpful staff. Very close to the town of La Fortuna with many delicious restaurants to choose from. Great excursions from the hotel as well as local travel agents!
“Pura Vida”
The hotel is located on the outskirts of La Fortuna, in a calm section of town. The view on the vulcano is fabulous from each of the large balkonies. The hotel is surrounded by a lucious garden with plenty of frogs, fish, butterflies and birds. The rooms are beautiful and in great condition. The restaurant is an open building with view of the vulcano where breakfast (included) is served. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A great experience overall.
“Nice stay”
Great little hotel. Close to town. However, I'd advise against booking tours through them as they can be more expensive than booking the tours in nearby La Fortuna, and even sometimes through an online travel agent.
“Good Choice for this area”
Good choice if you want a 3.4 - 4 star hotel at a reasonible price. Rest are either lower level or much higher prices
