“Great”
More than what I expected. I spend 300 plus nights a year in hotels and rareiy find one this nce at this price.
“can't wait to come back again...”
We were more than pleased with this hotel! The room was fantastic with lots of space, clean dishes, dishwasher, fridge with ice maker and more. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay....our only regret was that we didn't have more free time on our trip to just enjoy the room. The rate we got with Expedia was amazing and more than worth the price! Continental breakfast was included and tasty. There is also an excellent pizza place across the parking lot that we definitely recommend (although the food in the lounge/restaurant on site was good too. All the shopping you needed was within a few minutes drive and easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again!!!!
“FANTASTIC!!!”
For our family this Hotel was perfect! The pool is smaller, however it was nice that the kids (ages 6 &8) could be in the pool and touch, also the pool area and pool restroom/shower area were very clean. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones we have ever had-they serve until 10am which I would prefer some extra time, especially when it's Sunday morning and your trying to get packed to leave and they do start shutting breakfast down at 10am sharp! But overall we were very pleased with our room and house keeping. I liked that there was a laundry basket in the bathroom as your wet towels do not have to be on the floor-this was a great idea! We stayed 2 nights and on Saturday when house keeping came I asked for extra cups and towels, and they gave us plenty of both which was nice!! It was nice to have a kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, dishes and full fridge. I think my favorite part was that there is a private bedroom, I wish all hotel rooms had that. We have stayed in many Hotels and for the price and cleanliness we will definatley be back!! If we travel anywhere else we will look for a Grand Stay. Also I appreciated the parking was close, with small children and luggage thats always a plus!
“Worthwhile stay.”
The staff was helpful when needed. The continental breakfast was very good compared to other types of continental breakfasts offered by other hotels.
“Great experience”
We were very pleased with our stay at the Grand Stay. Would drfinitly stay there again and highly recemend it to anyone that needs a great place to stay.
“Comfortable hotel”
We found the GrandStay very comfortable--lovely suite, nice layout, nice sitting room, nice bedroom, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Excellent breakfast (offers eggs, sausage, and waffles as well as the usual continental breakfast items), free newspaper, and very helpful staff. Our only complain was very small--why would such a nice place have such cheap toilet paper?!
“Conference-oriented suburban hotel good for quick family stay”
Located in a suburban business district that seems under very recent and continuing construction, this hotel seems brand new. The people working the front desk were very friendly, and everything seemed in order. Our suite included a living-room/kitchen/dining combination and a separate bedroom. The pull-out sofa had a full set of linens stored in the wardrobe, ready to go. This lodging was an excellent value considering the discount. Everything was clean and in working condition. The toiletries provided were better quality than the standard hotel. If there is a negative aspect, it was that the hotel was far south of the Twin Cities and the Mall of America (about 8 mi. away), both of which we visited.
“great value”
stayed at grandstay to take advantage of the airport shuttle as we had to overnight in msp. staff was friendly, the room was great, and we even grabbed a small breakfast in the morning.
“A Hidden Gem”
At first I was nervous because it seemed like a hotel that no one had really heard of. I was in Apple Valley for a wedding and everyone else was staying at another hotel. This hotel was cheaper so I went with it. Trying to find it was difficult, but that was also partially due to my ability to understand my GPS. However, once I got there I was amazed at what the hotel was like. I got a room with a queen bed and it was no ordinary room. I had a small kitchen with working appliances and dishes. It had a full fridge, oven, Microwave and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen was a sitting room with a television and a fireplace like set up. The view wasn't all that great, but it got great sunlight. The bed was in a little room with a door. In the bedroom there was another television. I could have fit up to four people in the hotel room comfortably with the queen bed and the pull-out couch. This was a surprise to me, like most of the other stuff, because usually when I click queen bed, that's all I get. The bathroom was large and spacious. It served it's purpose but in comparison to the rest of the room, I was not impressed at all. It was clean but I've seen better setups. The rest of the hotel was interesting. The floor plan felt like an "H" and I got confused a couple times in the halls. It had a pool, jacuzzi and exercise room. The Wifi and continental breakfast were average. Although I now have friends who live in Applevalley, I might still rent a room here anyway. Worth it.
“Outstanding!”
The GrandStay-Apple Valley is located at the south edge of the Minneapolis metro area, within 2 blocks of a major traffic artery (Cedar Avenue) and a couple miles of I-35S and I-35E/W. It is a very quiet location within easy walking distance of a variety of shopping and dining options and the facility itself is exceptionally quiet, very clean, very comfortable. This is all enhanced by its quiet, elegant, and tasteful ambiance. The rate was very, very reasonable. Whether you fly or drive to the Minneapolis area, the GrandStay-Apple Valley is an outstanding place to stay.
