"Lovely modern resort with amazing food"
We spent 8 days at Nonsuch Bay for our honeymoon in early August 2014. We had a 1 bed apartment which was right next to one of the three pools and had a lovely view down to the bay. The resort was lovely and quiet so we had a really relaxing time. There is a sailing/water-sports club on site and when your staying on the resort lots of the activities were free including sailing, kayaking, paddle-boarding etc. The restaurant on site (The Bay at Nonsuch) is amazing, looks right out over the beach and the bay, the food is BIG, we never managed more than one course but its great. Lots of local fish on the menu and had a big BBQ one night. Zoe on reception is so lovely, happy and helpful so look out for her!

"Great place outside of town"
We booked this hotel as we needed an extra couple of nights on our stay and the other hotel we had booked could not accommodate us. Really glad we did as it gave us a chance to stay in this quiet place just outside the main bustle of St Johns. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially when I left my sun glasses in one of the taxis. They called them up and arranged for it to come back and drop them off. Outside the hotel you look over McKinnon’s Pond towards the sea and there is a big supermarket nearby if needed so not far from Dickenson Bay or the Cricket Ground (which was why we were there). You can walk into St Johns but you may decide a taxi is a better option (we did). Well worth staying here if you prefer a quieter place to lay your head outside the resort locations.

"Great Visit"
Topping off our trip with a stop at the Antigua Yacht Club was the perfect ending, it is so quaint and it gave us a better view of what Antigua was really like. Next time we visit, you can keep your big resort and I will pick the Yacht Club every time. The bed was a little hard but the hotels charm made up for it in every way. The views were fantastic. Can't wait to return.

"Beautiful resort"
Great experience. It was clean, safe, private and beautiful. It takes a little while to check in so be patient. I recommend the beachfront room, the catamaran and going to piccolo mondo for dinner one night.

"Perfect quiet get-away"
We stayed for 8 nights at this all-inclusive, 4 beach resort. With a wonderful staff, excellent food, great location, and lovely beach front (as well as garden facing) rooms; this resort was fantastic. The buildings are showing their age, they have been open since the 1960's, but they are not claiming/charging for a brand new 5 star hotel. The beaches are extraordinarily beautiful. We went during the off season. There were always plenty of lounge chairs for everyone. The grounds are very clean. There are some great corals in the little bay to snorkel around and there was always something interesting to see around the dock. They have small sailboats, canoes, snorkeling gear, and beach towel rentals. They had live entertainment most nights even a band that made all of their own instruments and a steel band. You might get to see some animals from the farm that the resort rents the land from, we saw goats our first day there! Their food was better than most hotels/resorts that we've stayed at in the past; the cooks are pleasant, informative & born to cook. The buffet had bold local flavors. Drinks were made with local juices by bartenders who went the extra mile to get it just to your taste. Overall, this was the best place that we have stayed on an island. We like things more simple and don’t like to feel like we just went to the beach and never left America. We’ve been to Aruba, Trinidad & Tobago, and Antigua. We are planning our next trip back here now!

"Very Authentic Caribbean hotel, beautiful place"
We absolutely loved our trip! It's a perfect couples destination as it's very laid back and peaceful. There are activities though, we went sailing all the way around the island on a catmaran tour including lunch, drinks, and snorkeling, which we'd highly recommend. We felt very safe and the staff was excellent, from the couples massage, to the managers cocktail party, to the food, cocktails, and friendly service. The food was really great especially for an all inclusive. The beach was beautiful as well as the landscaping which made pictures look professional with the turquoise water back drop. We even got upgraded from an ocean view to a tropical waterfront room. Don't miss the Outhouse for an unbelievable bbq lunch overlooking the beach! So sad to leave but we will definitely be back!

"Everything at this hotel was wonderful!"
Hotel, rooms, food, staff, pool, drinks, beaches all perfect. The only downside was that the hotel allows people to reserve sunbeds with towels in the morning. This was most frustrating as there were sunbeds with no one on them for most of the day. People would often reserve a sunbeds by the pool, go off to the beach for the morning and come to their sunbeds mid-afternoon. The hotel should ban this behavior to make it fairer for everyone. Apart from this everything was lovely and I would definitely recommend.

"Nice Hotel, Beautiful beach with clear, warm water"
We booked Jolly Beach as it allowed for a family vacation as well as couple get-away!! We booked the Junior Suite which is based on the quiet end of the mile long resort/beach. It's small walk away from the entertainment areas, main eating areas, and the family, super saver and standard rooms. The Resort is what you would expect from a well established resort. It is kept maintained and clean at all times. The All-inclusive food is your basic: Pasta, veggies, chicken, pork, fish and beef served in different forms on a daily basis. The breakfast is also your standard eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes and pancakes. You can enjoy the Jerk Chicken and fries at the Beach Hut Located by the main family pool/pool bar. The Resort as 3 restaurants that are a must to try and are included in the all inclusive package, you just have to book a table a day prior. The Italian restaurant was comparably better than the Seafood and Indian. However the desert, bakery and fresh fruit range is amazing!!! There are a range of activities to do on the beach, like sailing & kayaking. Lessons and life vests are provided!! The Beach is clean, the water is warm and clear. Beautiful shades of blues alongside a white soft sandy beach. beware of the Seashells though!! The staff deal really well with request and any complaints you may have. The only issue we came across was the air-conditioning. Some rooms have individual AC units and others a air-cooling system, which do not cool the rooms enough.

    Antigua Hotels Guide

This English-speaking island was once Great Britain’s most important Caribbean outpost. Now, the coral reefs that attracted the Royal Navy make the island a paradise for snorkelers and scuba divers, and the winding coastline features numerous secluded, sandy beaches. English Harbour and neighboring Shirley Heights are rich in landmarks that evoke the island’s colonial past.
