“Welcome to paradise”
The Verandah Hotel was excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms, grounds and beaches was exceptional. The staff, for the most part were very respectful and helpful. The main beach with the varied included watersports was quite enjoyable. The fact that huts, chairs and towels were available at all times was great. The food was plentiful and varied and well prepared. We thought the available hotel amenities included in the all inclusive plan was above what other similar hotels we have stayed at. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will most likely return.
“Great holiday”
Lovely hotel set in very nice grounds with individual bungalows, so you don't feel on top of other guests. Food was better than expected for all inclusive. Great facilities and lovely pool and beach. Had a great time.
“Fantastic hotel on the lovely island of Antigua”
We had an amazing time at the Veranda Beach hotel. Friendly staff and a great location. Would go back there tomorrow!!
“Very impresed - even champagne included in the All Inclusive package”
Hotel was really lovely and the staff were all frindly. The rooms were big, clean and quiet. Good watersports and lovely beach. It was our wedding anniversary and they left a bottle of champagne in our room which was a nice touch. Food was great to ok - buffet gets a bit boring after a few days - would totally recommend this hotel.
“Fantastic value for money”
A lovely setting, excellent facilities, friendly & attentive service.... all in all, a wonderful experience !
“Great Escape for Solitude and Relaxation”
Accommodations and food were very good. This place is not in St. John's or close to it. You are about 20 miles from St. John City($30 cab ride). Beautiful grounds and main pool. Bungalow studios are large with microwave and refrig. Can't buy much to put in them because you are very far away from any stores. The shop on site is expensive and has limited selection of food and drink. Lots of solitude and time to relax. Good for a week's getaway. One issue is that the place is spread out over a large area and most often you have to take the shuttle from room to either the main dining area or the lobby and beach.
“Serious R&R”
We were very pleased with our trip to the Verandah. The service was very good. The location of the resort is excellent. The design and condition of the Verandah is excellent. The food was predictable, but very good. The staff was very, very, good! And the beach and snorkeling(to our surprise) were outstanding!! One last nice thing....the walks to Long Bay and Devils Bridge are less than 10 minutes, good way to end the day!
“Great Hotel, Very Relaxing Holiday”
This is a lovely hotel, with 2 great beaches. We spent a very relaxing week here and only wish it had been longer! The food is great, and the staff are helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The rooms are well equipped with little kitchen areas and nice verandahs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get away from it all.
“Great Vacation Experience”
Our vacation experience at the Verandah was memorable. Our girls had a blast at both beaches and the pool. The child care facility was first rate and the people at the Verandah (and in Antigua) were some of the most pleasant we have ever met. We were not all-inclusive because we like to make a lot of our own meals and we like to get out and explore the island, but the cost of the first night buffet meal was excessive. It was well over 100.00 for three of us (they didn't charge us for our youngest daughter). I recommend not eating at the resort if you are not all-inclusive. It will put a serious dent in your wallet. The facilities are top notch - the watersports are a blast and the main pool is very large and relaxing. The people, however, are what really make the resort. Every single employee went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. I don't know when we will return to Antigua, but we will definitely stay at the Verandah again when we do.
“Great place”
The service was great, and the rooms were large, clean and offered great privacy. The beach was very clean and had a lot of activities to offer but was a bit small. The food was good, but surprisingly the seafood was lacking. Overall, it was a great stay. I would recommend this resort to all.
