This Antigua resort offers guests direct access to a private beach and a variety of on site and off site recreational activities that include bingo, dance lessons, and pool aerobics. There is an outdoor pool and there are both beach/pool sun loungers. There are two restaurants and multiple bars on site. Live entertainment is offered certain nights. Hotel amenities include business services with multiple small conference rooms with audio-visual equipment and banquet services. There is complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access in public areas. Wedding services are available and shopping is available on site. Decor and furnishings in all rooms feature white tile floors, white walls and ceilings, rattan furniture, and tropical-print fabrics. In-room safes are available (surcharges). Rooms at this Antigua resort are reserved under one of the following plans:

Guests who book all-inclusive rates do not have to pay extra for onsite activities such as snorkeling. Taxes and gratuities are included. Arawak Terrace - Second-floor, open-air, ocean-view restaurant serving breakfast and themed-dinner buffets daily. A la carte dinner menu also available. (All Inclusive Plan guests ordering from à la carte menu must pay for meals.)
The Warri Pier - Rustic open-air restaurant on wood pier extending over Caribbean Sea. A la carte dinner service. Choices include lobster bisque, fried Brie with mango-pineapple chutney, grilled lobster, grilled red snapper, steak, pork loin with walnut-apricot sauce. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts, closed-toe shoes for men. All Inclusive Plan guests are given fixed-amount vouchers to apply toward price of dinners at this restaurant.)
Beach Barbecue - Takeaway spot on beach with terrace seating available. Lunch daily. Twice-weekly buffet themed dinners.
Carib Bar - Open-air beach bar serving tropical drinks.
Ciboney Lounge - Expansive second-floor carpeted lounge with mirrors, white walls, pastel accents, dance floor. Entertainment provided on some nights.
Lobby Bar - Cocktail lounge.
Beach Barbecue - Beachfront for snacks, lunch, and occasional theme dinners (limited opening).
Ciboney Lounge - Charming cocktail lounge with stage and dance floor. This is the venue for evening entertainment.

Recreation
Sheltered by a hill with a cliff face extending into the sea at its north end, a half-mile-long beach stretches along Dickenson Bay, with the resort's 300-yard section extending 35 yards deep and featuring thatched shades for napping. A 75-foot-long kidney-shape pool provides a freshwater alternative to the Caribbean Sea, which is usually calm in the bay.
Use of kayaks, snorkeling gear, windsurfers, and sailboats are part of the All Inclusive Plan. European Plan guests must rent this equipment. Independent operators rent personal watercraft and offer parasailing flights, scuba-diving instruction and excursions, and glass-bottom-boat tours. All guests enjoy complimentary use of six tennis courts, with surcharges assessed for night play under lights.

“Made to feel at Home!”
The hospitality of the staff at Halcyon was delightful and very attentative. I am a repeat visitor and enjoyed my stay as much as the first time! I was impressed with the consistency in daily cleanliness of my room and if I requested something needed, the response was prompt and courteous. Which I rewarded the maids with a gracious tip! I am sure gonna back again!
“Need to book another trip for Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts on a different Island”
I had the time of my life it was very peaceful and relaxing the island is beautiful would like to book another trip on a different island and would like to stay at the Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts
“St Lucia Rex”
The hotel's a little old but it's in a GREAT spot on the beach, nice grounds, the staff are very nice...no problem!
“Awesome experience”
One of the best trips I had to the Carribean. Reading others review I was a little skeptical, but were they way off. I mean way way off. What I found at the hotel was awesome. Rooms were extremely clean and I took the Standard room. My kids enjoyed the trip a lot. Though the food options were limited, there was always something different for each meal unlike other Carribbean hotels that have a lot of food options but recycle the same food for every meal. The locals were extremely friendly and the hotel staff were simply incredible. I won't hesitate to go there again.
“Great Place”
Very nice clean and quiet place. Staff very kind. We've booked a standard room but it got upgrated to a garden view room. Nice view to the beach from the balcony. The beach is nice however no snorkelling possible. The water is cloudy. Over all great place
“Exceeded my expectation”
Reading other reviews I was not very enthusiastic about the hotel but made reservations anyways as its location was very convenient for us. The hotel exceeded my expectation. The room was spacious with a good size living area. As my son was with us they provided a separate twin bed for him. Everything was very clean. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The food was just okay but overall it was awesome. I would highly recommend the hotel to everyone.

I want to compliment the staff for all the courtesy treatment I received. The waitresses and waiters were very friendly and always with a warm smile! I have recommended Halcyon to my friends and family for a nice getaway in paradise to be enjoyed by the beachside at Halcyon!
“Pleased”
I was very pleased with my stay at the REX. I travel to the Caribbean regularly and am more concerned about the location and the beach than weither the hotel has luxury window treatments. This hotel is basic, but comfortable. The beach is great, and the only resort (and I have been to many) that has enough palm umbrellas for all its guests. The meal plan food was certainly very satisfactory. I have rated this hotel "5" in most catagories, not because it is a five star hotel, but because I was very satisfied with the value I received. If you are a beach lover like I am, you need to remember that 5 star hotels are not necessarily on 5 star beaches.
“More than was expected”
Reading different reviews, we were a little leary at first, comments like the rude and uninterested personnel....put this to rest, never saw anyone without a smile, reception would always stop what they were doing to answer even the slightest question. Every evening was an adventure on some form of entertainment........to the extent some of the female vocalists could easily make it to "American Idol"...We had the all inclusive and were impressed with the variety and quality of the meals....and again, always a friendly atmosphere and the always present smile.....we will be going to the Halcyon again as soon as our tan wears off.....
“Excellent hotel...”
..if you get the right room. I did! The Garden View room that I was in appeared to be recently renovated, and everything was in perfect working condition. By contrast, I got to see one of the Superior rooms in the main building, and it was no where as nice as my room. The new manager is committed to bringing the hotel back up to its former high standards, so watch for a great experience. The staff were all pleasant (well, maybe with one exception), very helpful and always courteous. I would go back to this hotel again, for sure!
