“Galley Bay”
Galley Bay was the perfect all-inclusive resort. Great food, friendly staff, and beautiful accommodations.
“Antiguan excellence”
We had a great stay at Galley Bay. The food was excellent - not one poor course!
“Antigua's excellent choice”
the view of the room was beautiful, the service excellent and they resolve any problem quickly...so relax.
“Only Resort with a Private Beach”
Only hotel on the island of Antigua to have a private beach--Galley Bay does not share its beach with any other resort. In great weather, there may have been ten people on the beach, and four enjoying the waves. The major city is St. John--twenty minutes from the resort (20.00 cab fare) and is frequented by cruise lines; there are no other cities worth visiting (per the local opinion). The island is safe, and the resort was wonderful, especially the cuisine. I will be returning, even though the flight home was a bit exhausting.
“Dream Vaca!”
My husband and I went to Galley Bay for 7 days in early Sept. We stayed in the Gaugain cottages. The room was great, it was really nice having the private plunge pool. Because we were back in the gardens you really felt secluded, but it was only a small walk to the beach. The food was delicious, service was alittle slow but hey you're in the Caribbean! The beach was great on either side where were small rocks that you could snorkel and see lots of different fish, I even saw an octopus. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. We did see the inside of the most expensive rooms, they had a large tub, double showers, a nice sitting area, and valted ceilings. When we go again I would most likely splurge for those rooms.
“Best Island Vacation Ever!!”
We didn't know much about this place but it was More that we expected. Everything and everyone was Great. Best Food Ever -every day a new selection. Gourmet all the way!! We will be returning as soon as possible!!
“HAD A WONDERFUL TIME”
Great vacation spot for a much needed vacation. The staff was great. The food was awesome. Can't wait to go back.
“A very romantic place!”
I agree with the reviews written here. Galley Bay is for couples who are looking for excellent food, phenomenal view, and above and beyond customer service. The staff were ALWAYS helpful, courteous and ever ready to cater to your needs. They take pampering to a new level. My fiancee and I both agree that our stay at the Galley Bay was made much more fulfilling due to the phenomenal service of the staff. They truly go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you are looking for night entertainment this may not be the place for you as the band stops playing at 11pm. After 11pm there is not much in terms of a nightlife. But I must say that our cottage/hut was right on the beach. We stayed in Cottage #4. Our back door led right out to the beach. Drinks were all-inclusive. 3 restuarants on this resort. Ismay will cost you 70.00 per couple with reservation. The other two are inlcusive. All restaurants serve delicous food a la carte. Transportation to the town can be arranged by visitng guest services and requesting car service. I was annoyed about the difference in price to the airport. On our return to the airport, we were charged an extra fee because we left at 5:00 am. We were told the "standard rate" applies After 7 am. I think this was nonsense. Nevertheless, it was a great vacation!
“Loved It!”
We loved almost everything about this place. The service is unbelievable. Everyone at the resort was so nice and friendly. They remembered our names which gave all of the service a personal touch. I don't have the words to express how much we really appreciated how well they treated us. We will definitely go back. The only thing that was a minor issue is that after 7:00pm men must wear long pants, a collared shirt and closed shoes at the restaurants and bars. There is no where that you can go casual for dinner. The room was beautiful. The culture of the island is fantastic. It is a small more personable and quiet resort. We really can't wait to go back. We have talked about making it an annual destination.
“Absolute Paradise”
Just got back. I dont use these word lightly butthe trip was the best I have ever been on. Accoodation is top class Setting is perfect Food amazing (a la care all inclusive was far better than buffets) Bar and drinks very good (no cheap spirits or watered down drinks) People so friendly Beach is beautiful and very private (Armarni's house is at the end of it but nobody else is) Sure, there are a couple of thinks that they could do differently but nothing was to much boter for the staff and I have never felt so relaxed. We didnt leave the hotel for 7 days because it was so nice. We stayed in the Gaugan cottages. There are 18 of them, each with their own private pool. Whilst not on the beach, it is only 50m away. Could not recommend highly enough
