“Chill out hotel”
The Catamaran Hotel is a delight. We have just returned from a 12 night stay - we chose a room with a superior view it was upstairs (no lift) with a view of the ocean through the tree tops. The room lived up to the 3* star status - it was cleaned daily and had adequate facilities, including an oven, for any self catering activities. The staff were friendly and there is a computer available for anyone who wants internet access during their stay. It is a $20EC taxi ride to Falmouth/English Harbour where you can find restaurants and bars. In the daytime there are local buses to and from the harbour area and to the capital St Johns. There is a restaurant/bar close (a 2 minute walk) by which serves breakfast/lunch/dinner except on Sundays. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a relaxing holiday in an informal setting. The beach is on your doorstep, there is a small swimming pool, which compensates for not swimming in the sea.
“Relaxing great place”
I think my friend and I were the only people that were staying there at the time. Was a quiet little place right on the water. Room was spacious and comfortable and short drive to English harbour. Free wifi, friendly staff and nice pool. Would stay again.
“Relaxing and Friendly”
Welcoming hotel and friendly staff. Hit by the recession so only half full in the week we were there. Restaurant was closed for the season which we knew beforehand but self catering facilities were more than adequate. Hotel beach although small worked well with so few visitors and the free use of kayaks etc was a bonus. The water there however was not clear which I understand was because the beach it was artificially created where there had previously been mangroves but there are fantastic beaches within a drive and good local taxis.
“Catamaran Marina”
The hotel is very laid back and relaxing - basic facilities are avaible close by, but a car, taxi or bus ride is required for a night out /night life. OK for sailing if boat based at Catamaran Marina, but not within walking distance for Falmouth or English Harbour.
