The staff here were exceptionally accommodating and kind. It was a big dance comp weekend and the hotel was full. I felt bad for the staff there as they were running like crazy trying to keep up on things but we’re still kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Our room was across from the boiler room with constant noise. The hotel was full so we could not change rooms. We were told that since the hotel was near the freeway it would be noisy in any room anyways.

This hotel is right off the highway so it is convenient to get to Ann Arbor or Detroit. The rooms were great with no complaints. It had a smart tv. For breakfast, they had biscuits and gravy, waffles, sausage, cereal, and then some kind of eggs every day. The staff was kind. There is a couple of fast food options and gas stations right by the hotel. Overall, for the price, it was a good hotel.

I liked the location and friendly staff. Room was clean and breakfast OK. But the smoke alarm in all the rooms went off at least six times during my stay. About 3 am I called Expedia, they called the front desk about a refund if I left and were told there was no manager on duty. In the morning the shower didn’t have hot water.

Thank you for your feedback! I would like to apologize for the smoke detectors and fire alarms going off during your stay. Unfortunately, even though we are smoke free facility there are guests who decide to smoke in the hotel anyway. When this happens the fire system does exactly what it should do and goes off. It will go off intermediately until it no longer detects smoke. This is not the fault of the hotel as the system is doing exactly what it should be doing to keep the guests and employees safe. We also go up to the room and let the guest know that they will have to leave the property. The hotel just installed all new water heaters so hot water should not have been an issue. I will have my Maintenace team check that room. Again, thank you for the feedback. We hope to see you again!

Very poor experience with booking and stay
The disappointment began when we arrived at the hotel at 11pm Friday night. I had booked 2 rooms/2 nights via Hotels.com, printed the confirmation and brought it along as always. We were told there was only 1 room booked for us and the confirmation from Hotels.com meant nothing because is was a third party. We were told we should have called the hotel directly as well to make sure it was correct. They had zero concern for the error and made zero effort to help us. We had to ASK if there were any other rooms and were told one room only available that night and none for Saturday night. The room avail was a King room and was more. They would not discount it to the price of the rooms quoted. They would not write our names down in case a room became available- they said we just had to keep asking. We did, and luckily another King (more $) became available. I understand the '3rd' party aspect, but if you are going to allow those 3rd parties access to book, it becomes 50% your responsibility to your customer. The stay really never got better. The bed was a single mattress, no box spring, hard as a rock. Pool was closed due to a busted water line, the breakfast was less than mediocre. The stay closed with an evacuation after an outside trash can caught fire and started the building on fire at 3am. No efforts made by the hotel for the inconvenience. (Not that is was there fault, but it just lines with everything else showing me that they are not customer service oriented).

We where woking up at 3:15 am by the police and fire department as the hotel caught fire. They then proceeded to have me exit the building at the location of the fire instead of a side exit where the fire wasnt . Walked through a thick cloud of smoke ! Ended up sleeping in my car
