Rooms are (still) dated and need some TLC (special in the bathroom), but rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Big thank you to the cleaning crew between Dec 18-27 2022! Everybody made my Christmas joyful and nice! The Christmas Menu's was delicious, and the drinks delightful! Been here many time, as it’s one of 2 hotels in town and the other doesn’t have a bar. The temperature in the rooms cannot be adjusted. And the thermostat is set to very high. Its always been like this and complaining didn’t fix the issue. Bar service is very slow, they can disappear for 10 mins at any time. But they friendly and helpful however.

Our stay at this hotel was fair but it could do with a renovation and some love to be honest. There was several things in our room that was not cleaned properly either. Staff was friendly.

Sound hotel with afew issues!
Stayed here twice within a month. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options, staff pleasant and helpful and rooms more than adequate. Carpets and decor possibly dated and in need of a ‘freshen up’ and there seems to be a major issue with heating. Both times I stayed my room was like a sweat box. I genuinely don’t think the in room thermostat does anything and both stays I had to sleep with the windows open. On site parking is a plus and the showers are probably the most powerful I’ve ever washed in but the heating was a serious let down for me. Sort that out and you have a very decent hotel

Your best hotel option in Dessau
Dessau is not among the top tourist or business locations in Germany, so there are few hotel options in the city. The Radisson Blu Fürst Leopold Hotel is clearly your best, and perhaps your only option. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the Bahnhof, where one can also get buses and trams to different tourist destination. The hotel itself is quite dated, and while everything is clean, the rooms in particular are showing their age, and lack a nice level of comfort.

Very service oriented
The hotel is a relatively short distance from the train station and the major tourist sites. The hotel staff were very attentive, helpful and pleasant.

Pleasant stopover location
Good hotel. Conveniently located. A bit dated for Radisson Blu. Carpet stains, some wall damage. Staff was pleasant and courteous. Breakfast was included in our rate and was Delivered as room service due to coronavirus restrictions. For a one night stopover, no complaints.

Not bad if you are there for a nap
The hotel is very dated. Also, everything closes before 10PM, room service included. Apart from free water, there was nothing in the rooms, but reception had everything you needed. Service was rather mediocre, maybe due to the current pandemic restrictions. Breakfast was surprisingly tasty and had plenty of options.

This was a real oasis in an city where there are few places to stay. Staff were so helpful, and the room was wonderful. Really good location just 5 minutes walk to Bauhaus Museum, and around 15-20 minutes walk to Bauhaus Building, and about 4 minutes walk from the station. Heartily recommend it.

Bauhaus revisited
As we were individual guests and not part of the conferences that occurred whilst we were there we felt a bit overwhelmed, especially at breakfast , a noisy bun fight! Staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Enjoyed dinner in restaurant food very good! Reported blackout curtain needed fixing but nothing was done!

I had booked a king suite for my husband and I but was put in a double room. It’s hard to not think that the front desk assumed my husband and I were friends and decided it was best to put us in a double room because we are both males. When I requested the king suite they told us we could put the two twin beds together or stay in a room with a queen bed because that’s the largest they had. Why advertise a king suite when the largest you have is a queen? I opted for the queen bed because I didn’t want to fall in between the two beds while my husband and I slept. I’ve always had an amazing experience booking through Expedia and would hate to have to use a different booking site because of this incident.

Quiet and near the station
In easy reach from the train station, which is why we chose it. In easy walking distance of the Bauhaus as a result. Also in reach of the main square. The room was quiet. There was complimentary water in the room and in the lobby which was nice as it was late summer. The room was hot at night. It looked a bit tired and dated. We needed to ask specially for the WiFi password. An ok hotel but we should have aimed to stay at the Bauhaus itself.

No water pressure in the shower on the 5th floor. Hot and cold taps back to front. Laundry service is slow and doesn’t work on weekends. But overall better than most places in Dessau.

Very nice and relaxing hotel near everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Stayed few times and will be definitely coming back. The only thing, that the hotel bar was closed on a Friday? !

Our stay was made difficult because of a lack of airconditioning. When questioned about this the staff explained that as the weather hsd warmed up there would be no neef for airconditipning so it had been turned off. In addition the beds were hard and inforgiving.

The room was very comfortable. The shower was nice. Enjoyed the view from the window which looked down on the garden and arbor covered with wisteria. It must be beautiful in the spring and summer. We will have to return to see more of the city.

Embarrassing False Accusation
I was accused of not paying my bill when I left. I had paid it the night before, but the info had not been transferred to the morning desk clerk. I was forced to search thru my luggage for the receipt while spectators looked on. Very unpleasant.

Good location but..
The hotel is in a good location for Bruxelles-midi train station but don't be tempted to do the self service check in (took far longer than doing via the front desk as normal) and the cafe which says one its founding principles is value for money definitely isn't! Better to eat elsewhere probably though the soup of the day was very nice (cost 7.50€). Pleasant overall - we would probably stay again en route to elsewhere.

Spacious and clean rooms, good service, good price
We stayed for just one night in a weekend in the hotel. The location is convenient, a short walk from the train station, and with easy access to most attractions in the city.

The Junker's legend.
Great Location. The historical art work on several walls were fantastic! I really enjoyed all the historical events and dates shown. I only wished they had more photos of the Hugo Junkers's aircraft manufacturing plants. I can't think of any person which epitomizes the city of Dessau more than Hugo Junkers.
