Close to university. Soft beds. Nice staff. Not very clean though.

Run down hotel close to Clemson University

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Very run down. Looked like 1970 was the last time anything was remodeled. Wall paper falling off walls. Dirty carpet. Smells bad.

Hotel Hell

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
This place was a dumpster fire. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the carpet was ripped. I thought bugs were crawling over me all night.

Pros: They are friendly
The rooms were clean and neat. The price is acceptable. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling in some places, but, I don't think it's too big of a deal. I have stayed here before and it has slowly upgraded through the years.

Horrible

Posted 14-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Rooms were horrible. First room we were sent to had someone else belongings in it. Other people in the group were given rooms with strong smoke smells even through they were supposed to be non smoking. Fortunately stay was only for 1 night. Won't stay again and won't recommend.

It was ok I guess. Found the Days Inn up the street a couple of blocks for a lot less.

In need of a complete overhaul

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: the price. the beds were ok
Cons: the place needs to be completely remodeled.
Location: convenient to clemson
the hotel was pretty gross. the elevator barely worked; the check-in people decided that they would be "management" and they posted a sign that said "do not use." it did work but very slowly and noisily. the carpets were disgusting; we never took off our shoes or walked around in socks. the door handles all had a vasoline (we hope) type substance on them. the complimentary breakfast was ok but substandard. Overall it's probably better to stay at one of the places across the street.

Location is ideal

The location of the hotel is close to the university and is easily accessible. However the interior is a little rough in places but the rooms were clean. Ice machines are tough to find, some water stains in the ceiling and walls. Seems in the mist of a remodel. would not be my first choice in the future but would stay again.
