Avoid

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Staff was nice, however the rooms are terrible. AC broke in the middle of the night, room smelled like a locker room, and everything seemed like it was from 1980. Avoid at all costs.

Clemson Family weekend - The worst hotel ever!!

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything; It should be razed and rebuilt.
Location: We walked to campus - that was about it
The room was filthy - wallpaper falling off walls. Room was damp and musty smelling, so all our clothes were wet and damp. UGH!! To think We paid good money to stay in this filthy hotel!! Never again!! EVER!! Guess you won't be posting this as this was THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!

Okay hotel, very close to campus!

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Very close and the pool was great!
Cons: The continental breakfast was lacking.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We could walk to downtown Clemson, which is plus if you know anything about game day traffic.

Run down hotel close to Clemson University

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Very run down. Looked like 1970 was the last time anything was remodeled. Wall paper falling off walls. Dirty carpet. Smells bad.

Hotel Hell

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
This place was a dumpster fire. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the carpet was ripped. I thought bugs were crawling over me all night.

Inexpensive, but...

Posted 11-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
I had two main issues with the hotel. The upkeep is a bit behind (some peeling wallpaper, toilet flush a little iffy, etc) but the main thing was the maid service. We remained on west coast time, so weren't getting out and about until around 11 or so each day. The first morning the maid knocked around 10 and I asked her to come back. We were gone from around 11 until 2, but the maid had never come back. The next day I put out the 'do not disturb sign, then flipped it over for maid service when we left about 10:30. We even talked to the front desk. Again the maid didn't show up while we were gone. Both days we had to pull together a litst of supplies for the front desk to get us to cart back up to our room. The third day the maid knocked despite the 'do not disturb sign' and I asked her to come back after 11:30. She asked me what exactly I wanted done. I was kind of incredulous as I started itemizing some of the standard things maids do (empty trash, make the bed, take away the pile of used towels, etc). The other big thing which I found kind of shocking was that the first night the management allowed a small party in the enclosed courtyard (to which half the rooms are exposed) to continue well past 2 in the morning. The laughing and loud voices at that time seemed really unprofessional and must have been a problem on the lower floors
