The pool had been closed by the health department during our stay. Or first room smelled of mildew, and our second lacked a mini-fridge. The hotel staff were friendly though, and they are located close to campus with plenty of restaurants nearby.

The outside appearance looked very bad. The walls and carpet were filthy. The person at the desk was very nice and helpful.

First it is not a Ramada

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Look kinda like a fraternity house. Worn out. Front desk personnel could or would not give me the final price on the room once checked in. Said Expedia get a cut they get their rate. Thought that was odd. Very used up and needs a serious overhaul for decorations etc.

Hotel in total disrepair

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Cons: Needs total renovation. Door was difficult to unlock. They were aware of the problem but did not attempt to fix.
Peeling wallpaper, musty smell in lobby, breakfast area and room. People partying in parking lot.

I'm not picky and this hotel is NOT GOOD

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: Desk folk were nice and bed was comfortable
Cons: Just about everything. Sad place.
Location: Would be great place for Clemson University related guests.
This hotel is cheap and not worth it. Desk folk were nice and bed was comfortable - that is all I can say that is even remotely positive. Filthy carpet, peeling wallpaper, old TV with bad reception, noisy, scratched, dented old furniture. Reminds me of what we used to call a "seedy motel". Maybe if nobody goes there, they'll put some money into it. It has an atrium (like an Embassy suites) and great possibilities, but has been neglected too long.

Memorable Valentines Day

Posted 19-Feb-2015 on Hotels.com
My daughter, granddaughter and I only stayed for one night but it was memorable. It happened to be Valentines Day. We spent the day shopping and going out for dinner. When we returned to the hotel we found we had some loud amorous people next door. The front desk person very kindly let us change rooms. She offered to ask them to be quiet but we declined and just moved. The rooms were fairly nice for what the outside of the hotel looked like.

Outdated hotel below average

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Cons: Just rebuild it...
Old building; not clean; wallpaper falling off the walls; old and smelly bathroom towels; horrible breakfast; no remote control in room. Better go across the street to Comfort Inn...

Old hotel with low maintenance

Posted 20-Jan-2015
I was disappointed. I was willing to go with a room that its window is looking out to the hotel's roofed patio (serving as the breakfast area), which meant no natural sunlight. But then, in the morning I found out there were no hot water for shower. It took a while to find anyone to talk to and when I did, the person promised that it is just a matter of 'pressing a restart button' and that within less than an hour there will be hot water. It didn't happen and i didn't wait to see how long it did...
