“Excellent Trip.”

Brilliant hotel. 5 mins or so on foot from Central Station (approx 4 euros for ticket from Schiphol Airport and only about 15 min journey on train). Staff friendly and helpful- let us check in as soon as we arrived at 10am on first day and stored our bags after check-out on last day at no extra charge. Rooms clean (linen change every day and compeletely up together when we arrived) and excellent location. Less than 5 minutes from Dam Square and central enough for all other locations (museums etc) if you don't mind walking (although plenty of trams too!). Good restaurants nearby as well as supermarket (Food Plaza) for snacks, drinks etc- which helped to avoid mini bar costs! Would recommend.

“Nice, central hotel”

NIce, comfortable hotel within short distance of Centraal Station. The beds, as described by other travellers, were very very comfortable.

“Very friendly and efficient”

We found no problems at this hotel during our long weekend in Amsterdam. It was one of the friendliest we have ever stayed in. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, clean and efficient place to stay.

“Close to everything”

The single room I stayed in on the first floor near the street was a bit smaller than I'm used to and loud at times. Internet service was 25 Euros a day which is more than I pay a month. There was also no safe in the room which was a concern at first. Those were really the only three issues I had with the hotel and they were insignifigant in the overall picture. I did not find the previous review about the staff being ganjaphobic to be true at all. I came and went at all hours of the night and day and the staff were friendly and helpful. Because Internet access was so expensive I didn't use it and after a couple of days without it I didn't miss it. I then realized that's why I came to Amsterdam, to take a break from technology. It was a great vacation and the accomodations were 4 star.

“look no further!!”

Excellent Hotel!! Great location, great service, rooms were spotless. Amsterdam was great. Dont read the other reviews, remember few people feel the need to tell others if they have had a good experience. People are vocal if they didn't like it. Trust me i travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels, Amsterdam and the Sofitel is very good.

“Most definately will return!!!”

This hotel is a lovely place to stay. It is not far from the Ann Frank Musuem (about a 15mins walk) nor the Red Light District (5 mins)or the station (5 mins). It is really near to a small supermarket and many restaurants (Italian, McDonalds, Chinese). Also near to shops including HM, Bershka etc. The room was clean and spacious and the bed is massive! 3 people could easily sleep comfortably. Im going back with the girls as soon as possible!

“Perfect!”

We had two triple rooms and a double room. The rooms all had full size beds and they were definitely the comfiest beds we had ever slept in with fresh, crisp white linen. The service was impeccable with fresh towels provided each day. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in an excellent position for walking into the town centre or using public transport. Would certainly use the hotel again.
