“B&B The Blue Shepp: au coeur d'Amsterdam”
Hôtel très charmant, au coeur d'Amsterdam. Proche de la Gare et des principaux momuments de la ville. Très bon accueil. Chambre trés spacieuse et propre. Je recommande ce B&B et j'y retrournerai avec grand plaisir.
“blue sheep rocks”
Stayed in one of the bnb's small apartments, apart from the lethally steep stairs you couldn't ask for a better stow away n steeped in authentic Amsterdam surroundings, a quiet street 2 mins walk from everywhere you want to explore. Price excellent also, wouldn't go back to the dam without booking here first.
“Cosy and convenient.”
The Blue Sheep was a great find. Three of us stayed in a small apartment - one bedroom, small kitchen, living room with pull out couch and bathroom. It was clean, small but comfortable and with loads of charm. The owners were super friendly and helpful. The location was good. It is just outside the main busy shopping areas of Amsterdam which is only a short walk away. The area is safe and quiet and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The only downside is the very steep and narrow staircase up to the apartment. If you have heavy luggage or are large, this could be a challenge. The owners are very willing to help you with your bags.
“Blue sheep for 3”
I stayed 2 nights at the blue sheep after 3 weeks in Africa and it was a great place to stay in Amsterdam. It is a short train ride from Schipol and short walk from the Centraal train station. Very central location, but was very quiet at night and in the mornings. Room was clean and Novella and John were very nice and helped us get our bearings.
“Orange room”
The only reason I would recommend this hotel is for it's location. We opted for the orange room for the specific reason that it had it's own bathroom as we thought it would allow a bit more privacy. However, the shower wall is frosted glass, the other side of which is the hallway where other people wait to use the shared bathroom or go out in to the garden. The room's description states 'no open window' but what it should say is 'no open window with no proper curtain facing in to the stairway'. While we was there the door to our room also came off it's hinges which we luckily managed to fix back on. It wasn't all bad though, the owner and sttaff were very nice and made us feel welcome. If you're looking for somewhere to just put your head down then this place is ideal but if you're looking for somewhere with privacy and a bit more comfort then you might want to consider somewhere else.

Dam Square - Central Station, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets.
