“Central, clean, comfortable - and it has a lift !!”

Very satisfied with this hotel! The spotlessly clean room was large enough and comfortable, the ensuite WC was modern and gleaming, and the hotel has 2 lifts (thus avoiding the spiral death-traps of Amsterdam stairwells). The location is perfect, on Herengracht, just a few minutes away from the Dam in one direction, and Liedseplein in the other. The only minor inconveniences were: somewhat temperamental thermostat and lack of refrigerator. I will definitely stay at the Rembrandt Centrum again.

“very good hotel for $, ideal location”

We weren't sure what to expect, but this hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. Clean, comfortable, safe area, good value, and easy to walk to most tourist sights. We did walk from Amsterdam central, but I would recommend splurging for the 6 euro cab ride if you have alot of luggage

“Breakfast buffet was great”

There was a wide variety for the breakfast buffet, the room was very spacious and clean and the location was handy. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. The canal view was beautiful and it was quite at night for sleeping. I would definitely stay here again.

“Great Mid-Priced Hotel”

Overall the hotel was very good. -Great location very close to Dam Square and within walking distance to anywhere in the old city. -The wireless internet in my room (which you have to pay for and is quite expensive) did not work for me. -There are two computers in the lobby which you can use to go on the internet but again you have to pay to use these. -They serve a delicious breakfast buffet but be careful, it may not be included in the price of your room and can be quite expensive.

“not like the picture suggests”

We booked online and the location, price and pictures all looked excellent. However upon checking in we found our room little better than an old roadside motel; the type of place where you aren't sure if you should take your shoes off. The room consisted of a bed, closet and shower. No kettle, coffee, iron, sofa or other frills. Definately disappointing and over-priced.
