“Planning my next visit”

Park Hotel Amsterdam was great hotel. The hotel is extremely modern, clean, and the staff is ok. They are not as friendly as other Dutch people I encountered, but that was not a huge drawback. Only other complaint I had was the room I reserved was not available, so the hotel staff upgraded me. The hotel charged me for the upgrade, which I found strange. Other than that, the hotel in a nice area - a few steps away from the Van Gogh Museum and the high-end shopping area. It is 30 minute bus ride from Shiphol airport, and the bus drops you off 1 block away from the hotel entrance.

“Very impressed indeed”

As mentioned, the reception is a stunning showpiece of cool, ultra-modern design. The location is fantastic - 2 minute walk to Leidseplein and walk anywhere else in under half an hour. The staff are efficient, helpful - faultless really. Our room was great too, super clean and very smart - BUT it was an executive room (with the bathroom ensuite, everything just refurbished and a canal view). We can tell from other review sites that there are other rooms with the bathroom inside the bedroom and many negative comments about this arrangement. So be careful which sort of room you book. But we loved this hotel, would highly recommend it and can't think of anything to criticise except that the wi-fi internet access is very overpriced and really should be free

“Great Amsterdam view from room”

We arrrived early and got an upgraded room with an outstanding view of the canal. The room was stylish, clean, and well laid out and had everything you would need (iron, hairdryer, toiletries, mini bar etc.). The bed was very comfortable. The surrounding area was great to wander around. There were shops, cafes, bars and restaurants minutes away. The hotel was fairly central and we found we could walk to all the sites quite easily. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I would definately recommend this hotel.

“highly recommended!”

the hotel is in a great location! a 1/2 block away from great shopping, a couple blocks to the Tram and museums! The hotel was also very clean and modern. Staff was especially friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the open concept in our room and balcony! Would highly recommend!

“Interesting Industrial Decor that my husband really liked!”

Great location for both the VanGogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. We borrowed an umbrella from the doorman. The room was ready when we arrived. There were tulips in the cool modern tulip vases in the area around the front desk. I had read that the showers leaked with the "open" style bathrooms, but I took my shower first and then put a towel on the floor when my husband took his more "enthusiastic" shower and there was no problem. The stark industrial decor is quite nice if impersonal.

“So comfortable!”

I used the unpublished rate finder and got a great deal on this hotel. The restaurant is a terrible value for the cost for breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Beds were so comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long day of flying. If you go to museums, use the concierge to get tickets. Lines get long fast and with a ticket you can walk right in.

“The only place to stay in Amsterdam!!!”

I cannot fault the Park Hotel Amsterdam. The staff were fantastic, our room was amazing and we were even given voucher for a welcome drink as it was my husband's birthday. We also received vouchers for a discounted breakfast at the hotel. We stayed two nights and did use the vouchers one morning. The breakfast wasn't cheap even with the voucher, however, it was worth every penny. The most amazing scrambled egg I've ever had in my life! The hotel had a fantastic ambience and plenty of areas in the lobby / lounge to relax. The decor in the hotel corridors and on the stairwells was great too (lots of orchids and mirrors) - often an area I find that lets hotels down. It was in a great location approximately a 25 minute walk from the main central station, really close to the Van Gogh museum and near all the designer shops. You could tell it was a nice area compared to some of the not so nice areas in Amsterdam! If I return to Amsterdam I wouldn't consider staying anywhere other that the Park Hotel. 10 out of 10!

“Excellent hotel”

The location was great with nearby access to the canal cruises. The room was clean, it was different not to have a door separating the bathroom from the room but it somehow worked. The bed is to die for, very comfortable. The hotel staff was great, gave us tips on cheaper transport to the airport. It's easily accessible by tram or bus. Great location. Momo the restaurant by the hotel looked very classy, although I didn't get the chance to eat there. I cannot think of a negative thing about this hotel. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel. Watch out for the 5% city charge at the end, I certainly forgot about it. It didn't come up to that much though, depends how long you stay.

“Professional and Courteous”

The hotel was great. We ordinarily don't order room service, but we were so tired we went ahead and did so. The food wasn't terribly expensive and was enjoyable, especially the croquettes. The concierge service was very helpful, we needed to find a restaurant to meet some of my relatives and only had the name of the place. They found the address and gave us several maps with directions on how to use the tram. We also received a free upgrade to a larger room, which we appreciated. Overall, helpful service with a smile and great location near the museum district!
