Great service, we upgraded to a suite and it was well worth the extra money. Great location. Would love to stay there again.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I only stayed one night but was impressed by the quality of this hotel for the price. The fitness center was excellent and the location was phenomenal.

“What a great hotel”

The location was fantastic - straight over the road from the station, a lovely foyer greeted us and I was delighted to discover that we had an eaves room, that was so pretty. The room looked straight out over the main road up to the restaurant area and as it was high up, the outside hustle and bustle, didn't relly bother us. Loads of excellent restaurants and bars were in the area and we rarely used public transport and walked everywhere - I will definitly go back and stay at the same hotel, most probably in the spring or summer to experience a different season.

“Will def. use NH Barbizon again if in Amsterdam”

Great location. Service from employees up with the best I have experienced. The room was very clean and comfortable, though a little noisy at night with surrounding bar traffic. Suggest you ask for a room that doesnt back onto the bar strips if good nights sleep required.

Great location- best staff ever! The hotel manager went out of his way to hook us up with hard to get tickets to a dinner show. There aren't that many good choices in Amsterdam, so stick with this one- it's the best.

“Romatic Break”

My Wife & I are regular visitors to Amsterdam, however this was our first time staying in the Barbizon, the Hotel offers an ideal local, no need for Taxi'sa to visit many of Amsterdam's main attractions. Hotel Staff extremely Professional, only too willing to assist with any requests, etc. I would definately recommend the Barbizon & would look to stay at the Palace on another Amsterdam visit

“Great place in a great & wild neighborhood : )”

The hotel was simply really good and close to the main attractions of the city. Lots of the places around are designed for tourists but walking around in the streets are always a treat and the location is a 2 minute walk to Amsterdam centraal station & all tram lines. Its a great place to stay!

“Excellent hotel as a base for Amsterdam”

Have just returned from the Barbizon Palace Hotel and I would highly recommend it. It is perfectly situated as a base to stay in Amsterdam, being situated opposite Central Station. The Red Light district is a two minute walk away and Dam Square/Damrak are also only about 5 minutes walk away. The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was delightful - on two levels and with a view of the canal. Amsterdam was a delight - a really pretty city with beautiful canals. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and bring comfortable shoes! Prices are the same as the UK so not particularly cheap to eat and drink. If you want to visit Anne Frank's house, be prepared to queue - we tried to visit it twice but gave up as we didn't fancy standing in line for 1.5 hours in the cold. Amsterdam is certainly a place I would go back and visit and I would definitely stay at the Barbizon Palace hotel.

“Great hotel”

Brilliant service and tidy rooms - it was certainly more than what I had expected. The rooms were spacious and the staff friendly. The hotel is also located in the heart of town which made it easy for us to get to where we wanted to. The only thing to say was that the bathooms could have done with a bit of modernising.
