The room we stayed in had a high step into the bathroom without any indicator. I stubbed my toe really badly, and had to cancel our day trip to Utrecht because I wasn't sure if I could walk. I had to forfeit train tickets and tour costs. I reported this situation to the front desk, but no one in management ever reached out during our 5 day stay. Would not recommend this hotel.

Loved this hotel for many reasons. Great central location that was easy to walk to throughout the day to drop bags etc. Also, this is a great quiet area with the right amount of hustle during the day. Would stay here time and time again.

This was our first time staying at an NH property. Location was good, and the staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and overall the hotel was well maintained. Based on our stay I would consider NH in the future.

Thank you so much for a brilliant stay! My daughter & I came for a 4 day/3 night stay. I want to thank Liz at the front desk so much, we showed up at 12pm and we explained we were exhausted & she said let me see if I can get you a room, & she did!! The rooms were perfect, excellent set up, spotless & would highly recommend. Also you are located at the best spot in the city, not sure why this hotel doesn’t always get 5 stars! Convenient location for walking the city for site seeing. Centrally located. The room was queen bed with city view. Very comfortable bed, size of room was very big for European standard. Staff was kind and responsive. Only one minus- the outside noise level on Saturday/Sunday. Outside noise woke us up both nights. No issue with noise Monday night during our stay. Recommend hotel !

Great hotel overall. Nice size room for Europe and pretty modern too for old Amsterdam. Only 3 stars for cleanliness because the bathroom could have been a little cleaner upon arrival.

Spuistraat is a narrow but busy street in the city center. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Occasionally, cigarette smokers would be standing near the entrance and sometimes the elevator would be a little stinky. The hotel is smoke-free, but, like most areas in Amsterdam, smokers congregate by the entrance as they are not aware of the impact on non-smokers. A simple sign to direct smokers away from the building entrance would be enough as everyone is extremely polite and seems to care about others. Great location for the New Year as we could watch fireworks above the buildings and have our own private party in our room.

Excellent Hotel with Small Room.
The staff was excellent and very helpful. They helped us with plans, recommendations, and any questions. Our room was small. One side of the bed is against the wall. The room was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was excellent with a full hot breakfast. The hotel is located near many famous sites, shopping and restaurants. We arrived early in the morning and we were able to leave our luggage in their locked luggage room.

Nice hotel and location
We stayed for 3 nights in December . The location is excellent for walking- everything was 15-30min walk. Beds were comfy. Restaurant was good for breakfast. Everyone was very friendly.

Most family rooms have stairs. Ours had a very steep staircase to get in to the room, and I don’t recall seeing any warning when booking. Having said that, I thought the staff was excellent. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I thought more than one went beyond what I would expect at a typical higher end hotel.

We arrived to the city early in the morning. The hotel was happy to store our luggage until check in. We came back a little before check in time and asked if our room was ready. The room was not ready yet but they offered to show us another room that was available. The staff was very accommodating. We also appreciated the small store with snacks and drinks.

We enjoyed our stay at NH city center. We could walk or take the tram anywhere in the city or beyond. Can't beat the location! And because of the street it's on it was very quiet. The hotel itself was very clean. Staff was nice but not super communicative.

Lovely hotel
Mini honeymoon trip to Amsterdam was lovely. The hotel were helpful every day, upgraded us to a canal view room for our honeymoon. It was the little touches, always had coffee and drinks in the room, lovely towels and bed sheets. Free drinks one day if you opt to not have sheets changed (better for the environment). Overall would recommend

Fabulous hotel, location, service and staff
Check in was great, we spoke to a lovely young woman Kia. She said there was a problem with the system but we were checkin early and super quick. Best check-in I’ve had in ages. The room was lovely with everything we needed and lovey and clean. The hotel is perfectly located for shopping and getting to where we wanted to be. Breakfast every morning was fabulous. The staff in the restaurant are wonderful happy helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel more. That was my second stay and I don’t think it will be my last

Helpful staff. The room was very nice with a great view and very nice amenities. Very nice breakfast but 21 euro pp! Convenient to many tourist sites 2 blocks to the tram, 3 to the metro. We were able to check in early and out late. Very accommodating.

We had such a fabulous stay at this hotel. Price wise it was excellent. The triple room option was so convenient for travelling with our daughter. If I’m being honest I wasn’t excited to stay prior to arrival. The website doesn’t do the hotel justice but the area and price was right. It succeeded our expectations. The location was excellent for us. It wasn’t too noisy but central enough. Our room overlooked a very pretty street, it had huge windows and very high ceilings. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, modern and very clean. The staff both on the front desk and at breakfast were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Especially the lady front of house at the restaurant! All in all a great stay at a great hotel. If the prices remain competitive we will of course return. Thank you.

Great location! Staff couldn’t have been any nicer. I will say the rooms are small but clean. Parking was on site but a little pricey. I would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel for a weekend city break stay. Good location, walkable to shops, trams, reatuarants etc and a grest bakery on the corner up the road making fresh stroopwaffles!
